[HACKSHIELD] Shadow User
#1
I'm using an Account with User Privileges on my PC... and seems that HackShield doesn't like no more Normal User Accounts: It says that I need an account with administrative privileges.

It says also that I need to create an "HackShield Shadow User". Where may I find a manual or a FAQ on HackShield Shadow Users creation? Tongue

I have access as admin, with other accounts, and whith these HS works fine, but for gaming and other purposes I use only user accounts...

Thanx

I couldn't find much, but here's something to get you started: https://www.playrequiem.com/forum/forums...88&start=1

tl;dr, apparently Hackshield created a Hackshield Shadow User account without the guy's permission.

But Maple didn't create this shadow account...

The last thing I can think of is contact AhnLab and/or Nexon about the issue. It's my guess that the account thing is made upon installation or execution or something to that effect, since HackShield has to be implemented directly into the .exe for it to work.

Resolved launching Maple under Administrative Privileges with a CPAU [an alternative to RunAs...] job, but using a normal user account Hurt

I'll write a little HowTo if interested

I would love for you to write a "how-to" because I cannot play in the computer lab due to my "general" account.

I wonder if that CPAU program would allow you to run multiple Maples on multiple Windows User accounts a-@

no... tested: if you create different job for different user and launch these from current active user, only the first job works Frown

CPAU works as RunAs command, but if an admin creates for you a Maplestory CPAU job you'll be able to launch Maplestory with admin rights... and you no longer need admin password 'cause a CPAU job is crypted
