Looking for good RPGs on the PS2/3

Well, as the title says, I need some good RPGs for the PS2 (as nothing exists on the PS3 >_>)

What do you currently have?

(I want to get a better feel of what you like before I recommend stuff. Since some people like darker story lines more than light hearted and some prefer real time to turn base.)

hmmmm as far as i can remember there isnt much atm for the PS3, but theres a whole plethora for the PS2, just a lot that might be a waste of time.

this list has a lot of games that id recommend and have played before, i just think that the kingdom hearts games should be higher up.

Dunno if inFAMOUS is what you'd be interested in, but it's one of the only good PS3 games to release in over a year.

also, if you haven't already played God of War, go pick it up. It only goes for like $10~$20 depending on where you buy, and it's what the PS2 will be remembered for.

Well, if you don't mind a really bad cliche story, Tales of the Abyss might be a good 20 hours or so. There's a load of talking at times, so keep mashing the X button away. Also be prepared to hate a few characters.

infamous isnt an rpg, its an Action Adventure kinda game

Might also look into the DOT/HACK games, i heard they were good, but never got to play em. Anime was ok (first at least), so the story shouldbe ok.

Seriously? Uh...KH1 and 2, Dark Cloud 2, Dragon Quest 8. Those are all pretty good.

PS2: Get Tales of the Abyss. If you want to be a bit hard-core.. <__< Go to http://www.play-asia.com and try to find Tales of Destiny 2 for the Playstation 2 (it's in Japanese, last I checked), and see if they or any other company sells mod-chips that can translate, or play out-of-US-border games.

I've actually beaten all 7 dot hack games. They're kind of a cult hit but I love the story and gameplay of both series I reccomend them plus you can get them all for real cheap now.
