#1
Both times I've been to zakum I've d/ced in the middle of second body, not at the start, with a hackshield error

This error occurs when a problem not in the above list occurs.
I have vista with SP1.
More information can be provided.
I did not change graphics settings in between.

!

This is EXACTLY what happened to me the other day. I had never received any type of Hackshield before this. I was playing my friend's Corsair, and I disconnected at almost exactly half way through 2nd body. I got that same error.

Vista, SP1 and was playing in window mode. Playing on my Bowmaster has never given me any trouble at Zak. Is this is a Gunslinger problem or something? I wanna know what's up!

I played once in window mode, once in full screen.
Happened both times.
I'll zak sometime (hopefully soon) on a different computer and see if it happens.

That's only the problem if you're not playing window mode. Being in WM counters the need to change your graphics. I have Zak'd countless times with Vista using WM (and never changing my graphics) and never disconnected.

Besides, that Vista glitch (graphic one) occurs at the end of the 3rd body, not the middle of 2nd body like this one.

I'm a Corsair and I play in fullscreen on Vista SP1. I don't have any issues with Zak other than lag from using a crappy computer.

Okay, so...has anyone figured out what the hell is up with this error? Now it's happening on my BM too. I screenshotted it this time.

It happened at EXACTLY the same time. Zakum 2nd body, half HP left. Please help. I'd love to be able to Zak again.

Isn't that the point at which the blue mobs get summoned? Perhaps it's related to that in some bizarre way. Do you see those things appear at all? (Just grasping at straws here, but you never know what information will turn out to be helpful.)

Oh, and from the wording of the error message, it looks like an unhandled exception. Basically something happened that the HackShield/Nexon developers didn't plan for, so their error handling drops through to the default case, which is apparently to bail out.

No, that's a bit before blue minions start getting summoned. Some people on my BL were telling me they've gotten this error at 3rd body too, so now there went the consistency.

However, I was also told a method that supposedly fixes it.

1) Go into the HShield folder
2) Delete "Update" folder
3) Run the Hackshield Update thingy

I'm gonna try it and go on another run tonight. I'll report back how it goes.

---

Update: Whether it was completely coincidence or not, it worked for me. I got through that Zak run as smooth as possible. No lagging and no evil Hackshield d/c.

Well, I just went on two zak runs, and i'm getting the same issue. =/

I dced exactly at mid second body the first time with the same error, and then i tried doing what felix did.

During the second try, everything was going smoothly...until 3/4 of the second body was down and then maple just blacked out and crashed. No error was given too, and several other people dced at exactly the same time as me.

Anyways, on another note, I never had any problems with zak before hackshield came.
