Monster Book and Mastery Books

I recall when monster book was arriving people were saying it leaves out specific items such as mastery books, but my husband got a 4th Skelesaurus last night and it actually shows them all. Is this an error? GMS being kind? Is it only some monsters that do this? Does this means it shows ALL of the items it drops with the exception of event items?

I have no idea what kind of rumor those people you spoke of are on to...

GMS implemented KMS's drop tables in addition to Monster Book drops, so there really shouldn't be any discrepencies. Well, that's the theory anyways. I've heard that people complained Dark Cornians don't really drop Frostprey20, and then there's people like MasPan complaining that Cold Eyes don't drop Orihalcon Ores (no idea if this is true or not, don't care).

Point in fact though, I easily got all 5 of Papulatus' cards, and all the Mastery Books and 60% Cape scrolls were there. Oh, and a lot of GREEEEEENNNN drops.

Drop tables are server-side data. Monster Book drop data is called from String.wz instead. String.wz has mis-represented other data in the past, such as Heaven's Hammer skill description strings not telling the truth.
