MSEA's polls are fairly accurate though.

Previously, there was a poll requesting for the players' most desired content, and NLC won. Then *boom*! We got NLC!

But I do agree that the Aran option is more to hype things up.

Aran isn't even done/out/tested yet.....

Silly MapleSEA. They want to make the biggest patch ever, but it'll end up being a bugfest patch. The more content they want to release at once, the more will be the bugs, if they don't test the content better than NEXON does, which is very unlikely.

They still have to test Aran in Korean and they want to release it in english already? Lol.

I like how they're trying to convince people minds that they will actually release something that's on beta stages right now.

The thing that impresses me about this is MapleSEA's openness about new content.

GMS pre-plans all new content and keeps it very hush hush from the players until a day before the patch. They get angry when we know anything about content that isn't available in-game. Yet, SEA has all of these polls that almost encourage people to do research on new areas. They aren't hiding anything, even the existence of the newest class.

While this poll may not actually change anything, it's still a great way to create hype, and maybe even move the process a long a little faster. Also no where in there does it say they'll release it if it gets the most votes or anything to that effect. It's just asking what the people would like to play as and like I said, creating hype. Anyone who hadn't bothered to look up A(h)ran may now do so just because they're unsure of what it is.

In short Asiasoft > Nexon.

Blah.. I agree with NEXON's hiding things. You know, when you hide informations about new content, players are more hyped to know about them because they know they'll be getting that soon.

Instead, I find it useless to even talk about Aran now when we and they know they won't get that until probably the next year, unless they'll be super-fast with the translations and all, and they will skip many important testing stages.

Well maybe you're just not a curious person. I like to know things; so I research. I LIKE to know things. I like surprises, but I don't like people hiding things needlessly.

The only good thing that can come from keeping content quiet beyond 'woo a surprise' is that it prevents item hoarding. But even then, anyone who is really going to hoard items (like with maker) is already doing so.

For me, knowing beforehand will always trump the fun of the surprise.

Anyway If you get KoC, Time Temple, Balrog Boss, Elin Forest in 1 or 2 patches it will be so boring after it O,o and next patches will be after few months because they won't have anything to add...

Uhm.. I AM curious, and obviously I want to inform myself about things like what's Aran, etc., but about patches, I sometimes prefer to not know what's next to be released. But sometimes it's also fun to know it in advance.

anyways,if there is really a big patch,AS is probably not planning to patch the game for june and july if the patch is in End-May

August as usual,is always a good time to introduce new exclusive maps or extension to SG or MY Maps,maybe even other SEA region

More like june, since most of the players are having a breaks so they can enjoy the new content.

It's just to create hype. I doubt Cygnus will be out with Episode 2, though. Probably June or July, or later.
