Okay, so during the school days, my mother forbids that I go play games. Because she cares about me. But anyways, what I actually do is leave Maple running in the background and hop the Victoria <---> Ossyria boat every 15 minutes, in hopes that Crimson Balrogs will come, and that I can get at least one of their cards.

Well, the prospects aren't so good it seems, even though I can pretty much KS every one of you (except other Paladins and really high lvl 4th job mages, it's basically a reaction + internet contest with them). Seems like crogs don't like to show up much at all.

As of writing this, I've killed a total of 16 crogs since patch time, gotten 8 scrolls, two storybooks and a claw. I dunno how many trips that was total, but I'm estimating it to be around 25-35.

Routine is back and forth boat riding, although today I've noticed that the crogs only came twice going from Ossy to Vic.

Thoughts on all of this? And who wants to bet it'll take 200+ kills to get a card? >_>

You mean besides the obvious fact that Crogs hate the orbis ship for some reason or that monster book cards are unneccessarily rare?

try hunting a bot-catcher card, ive killed at least 50+ of the dam snow witch and havent seen nothing more than a tear drop, cept for the one time it dropped a red egg :|

I think Crimson Balrog cards are equally as rare as area boss cards, meaning you could be looking at up to 1000+ kills before a card.

Yesterday I killed 400 Zeno and got squat besides couple of scrolls. I've killed over 600 Shade with nothing too. Cards come like snow in the desert. Good luck though.

For Crog, try this:

1. Ellinia ship, get on.

2. Wait for Crog; if it comes, go to 2a, if not, go to 2b.

2a. When you kill Crog, log off and go on the boat on a different channel. Crog doesn't come twice on a ship, ever.

2b. Log off when Crog doesn't come. Go on the same channel. This increases your chances somewhat.

I remember this from somewhere; no idea on fake ship though..

And when you're talking about "fake ship", do you mean when the ship comes but the crogs don't? I haven't seen that since forever ago, like Bera times.

From what I remember they arrive when they spawn, but no one's in the map (they're inside the ship). When you exit the ship, you see their ship but no Crogs.

I'm not sure if I'm understanding you. You're saying if no one's outside when the ship arrives, the Crogs won't spawn? Sorry if I'm misunderstanding. I rarely ever go inside the cabin, and I'm positive I was outside when the ship arrived. No Crogs ever spawned. Boat just chilled there.

Sorry for my horrific grammar, but yeah that's what I meant. Those were the only cases I've seen, so if you're positive you were in the map and only the ship spawned, I have no idea what caused it and it never happened to me while I was on the map.

Just as a fact, monster cards in GMS are alot more rare then in KMS.

Fake ship happens if there's no character in the Crog map itself (Characters are inside the ship), If you go out of the deck you will see the ship but no rogs, but if someone afks/fights, you will be able to see them. I remember this glitch since beta.

I may be mistaking what you're saying, but erm... I used to SEE the ship arrive and no rogs appear. Being a suicider mage, I always wanted to see the things that everyone was afraid of, so I'd take a chnl by myself and wait outside for them at like level 50, and I saw the empty ship more times than I saw the rogs. That's with me staying outside the entire time. This was pre-4th last I remember this happening, so I really have no clue. @_@

And el-oh-el at the ss. I swear if you kill the crogs fast you're an instant hacker to everyone. Sigh.

Well, that would certainly explain why I never got my suicide wish. Once I hit 100 or so I'd always afk inside on my travels. >.<

And y'know, I've noticed people get wrongly accused of being a hacker on the ship more than anywhere else. They're just jealous. x3

Personally I think this may be on the high side of appearances. Scrolls are a bit low though.
