Typhons map nerf
#1
 Spoiler

So much for training here. >.>

Edit: You probably could, but it is much easier to screw up or when the spawn slows, not much can be done.

Er, what happened?

Aww, the walk on bottom glitch was the best! I suppose it is still plausible to train there.

Oh well, MP3 anyone?

How is the map nerfed besides the walk on bottom thing?

What they said. IIRC you stand on the platform with the ledge on it, which is still there.

Good.

Maybe people will glitch less and learn to balance themselves more now.

Dammit, this stupid thread scared me.

I didn't really have much trouble training there when I did, I just walk back whenever I get knocked off. Try cc-ing for spawn.

please. If you people were relying on that wall to stay in the map then you were doing it wrong. The platform in the center with the little ledge is where you stand and cast rain.

Not that big of a deal. Just get a Mark of Heroism and learn to use the middle platform. I do that and it is easy as hell.

I trained there in my late 10x levels (as a crusader), and I never abused the glitch (Other than when I triggered it by accident and decided to investigate it a little as it wasn't really known then), or when I landed on there by pure luck. I also never used the wall to stop my falls.

I think it's good they changed that map. Now people have to train there properly Tongue
Those typhons have a great EXP ratio and do really low damage. You can't have everything on a map.

Where does it drop you off, by the way?

The Valley of Heroes 2, or the second jump quest map.

Well, once you become experienced with the map, you don't really fall that often. Actually, most of my falls after I got experienced with the map actually weren't from typhon attacks (things like getting on a mount then missing the rope under the safespot).

Don't you kind of have to use the bottom of the map though, considering coma stuns?

At first that was an issue, and I couldn't figure out where the spawn was. I had been using shout to attack the eggs too. Then when I trained there with a friend, he told me what was happening to the spawn (I'm so stupid Sad). After that, I was very careful that I was ready to use slashblast straight after coma. Or if it was late at night (Too tired to think properly) I'd just use slashblast and forget about coma altogether.

What about Marauders D:?
Always get knocked off, most of the times due to Corkscrew or missing the rope Sad

I understand the removal of the bottom, as many people were abusing it (including myself sometimes), but I find very unnecesary the removal of the left wall.
Time to learn to use the middle platform.

The map is still really good for an 8x DK with a combination of roar + fury (provided you have the acc to hit them)
