How do you scroll 2nd/3rd HT pendant slots with Nine Spirits Egg?

I know there was a post that mentioned how to do this with Karma Scissors. The only problem is searching for it gave me nothing that states in the titles how to do it, and I think it's buried under the 20+ page threads. Does anyone remember clearly how to do it, or does someone have the exact post to my question?

Logic:

The 2nd egg quest activates as soon as you lose your HTP and gain a new one.

You can't scroll a +1 ht pendant with the dragon spirit egg.
