In Arizona, women are now legally pregnant two weeks before conception, according to a new law, the Orwellianly-named, “Women’s Health and Safety Act,” signed yesterday by Republican Governor Jan Brewer. The scientifically, medically, ethically, and intellectually dishonest legislation is designed to reduce the amount of time a woman is allowed to have a legal abortion, and is one of the most draconian bills to become law in America.The bill was sponsored by extremist Arizona State Rep. Kimberly Yee, (image, right) who last month penned an op-ed titled, “No drug test, no welfare.”

Yeah......im facepalming hard. Women are just walking around pregnant all the time.

I find this both hilarious and potentially the stupidest thing I have ever seen in my life.
Seriously, when I try to consider the implications of this my brain shuts down from the overdose of stupidity.

Well, at least if anyone ever considers taking Arizona seriously for anything, you could just point them to this to prove them wrong.

I read about this in April, when it happened and decided against making a thread about it because it's hardly current events worthy news. It's just Arizona being a pineappleing hick state. And judging by everyone's comments here and in the previous thread, they just read "hurr" and spit out "durr".

It's amazing people are still surprised by the pomegranate Arizona pulls.

I never learned that in my embryology class, but from the looks of it I guess you are right. Sorry for my overreaction. This law is still probably retaliation for some of the abortion stuff in Obama's health care law. I see no practical purpose for it other than that. It's like making a law stating the sky is blue. It's useless.
