Shouting matches? Nah. The most "argument" I've gotten out of who is best pony is just ~5 minutes of silliness and then we resume what we're doing. This is my TF2 experience anyways in the Brony servers.

At some point, we're all going to have to move on. At some point, we're all going to have to move on in life. Go to school, to work, to a family, and well, to be blunt, die.

Eventually, there won't be another season to look forward to. There won't be any more art, animation, and music videos. No more fics. No more music. No more updates. No Angelic Burster. There will be a few things here and there, but it will thin out. New people will move on to other groups. Younger people will see different shows, play different games.

MapleStory, My Little Pony, Pokemon, whatever. Eventually it's all going to go the way of everything else.

But that doesn't change the fact that in the process of all these things, we meet amazing people, and make amazing memories. I'm more or less a nobody in the community, but I've still had the chance to interact with some pretty amazing people.

And I'm not saying it has to end now, or even soon. Just that it will, and I love the time I have now for it.

I still wish these years could last forever. Even with all the drama, I wouldn't change any of it.

You know why I like Rarity? Well let me tell you.

As someone who writes for a living, and uses writing as a creative outlet, I find Rarity to be a very relateable character.

Rarity has a dream. She wants to be a fashion designer in Canterlot. She has the skills to make that dream happen.

But things hold her back. Herself. Her generosity. Her dramatic everything.

Part of being creative is the critique you get. You can love your own work, you can think you did an amazing, stellar job, but your public will hate it. After all "All we really like is what we know".

It's hard trying to be creative. It's harder when you're a nobody and no one supports you. You may have talent, but you're stuck in some random town trying to carve out a living. You may be the son of a CEO, but have no ambition or talent.

And she's funny. Drama is funny. I have this every so veeeery slight tendency to be the tiniest bit dramatic.

Relateability is an important aspect in a character. Pinkie may be my second favorite of the main cast, but she isn't that relateable.

Neither is Fluttershy. Sorry, she's cute and I love her, but she's very one dimensional.

To be honest, I'm not gonna lie to you guys, but yes. She reminds me the most of myself in this current state. And that's the one and only thing I gotta say about her that isn't mean.
And yes, I do stretch my hatred for her...however if she's gonna be an op character for fighting is magic, the rage is going to shoot that far.

However, I would just love to see more character development from her, fluttershy and by a mudslide, RD. The characters are kinda underdeveloped in my opinion...but what do I know, I'm not a critic, nor do I have the right makings of one, or the right backing...etc etc etc.

Yes, Fluttershy is completely One-Dim, and tipping the scale by just a smudge is gonna tip the entire thing over. I suppose she needs to find balance...even if it's cannon, can we see more?

Rarity...well, more sister-ly, and less snoody, regardless of her standards. Her views of "fun" may be completely off from her friends, but come on. Again, it's cannon, but MORE please.

I may love RD to a extent, where I'll worship her to the ends of the earth, even IF I stretch my love for her way too far than needed, she needs to admit a whole lot of things...even if they're cannon also. (Winning isn't everything, Acting girly isn't SO bad. Take a look at Rarity. Trying new things is also not that bad...wait, nevermind, Read It And Weap kinda justifies that...And being too proud of yourself...wait, Mysterious Mare-do-well counteracts that reason also...)

One slight issue with the show is a slight lack of characterization for ponies not named "Twilight Sparkle", and even she lacks some.

But hey! It's a kids show! I am so wasting my life.

As far as characterization does go, Applejack probably has the most solid characterization. Twilight comes in second. It gets muddled from there, but Rarity and Rainbow have some development. Pinkie Pie is pretty solid, but she lacks motivation to change as a character. She has no aspirations. That's not a bad thing at all, she's happy where she is. Same thing with Flutters.

Rainbow Dash and Rarity have dreams. They're different dreams, but it's a defining feature for both of them.

Rainbow Dash is mostly characterized by her desire to join the Wonderbolts, and to a lesser extent, to be the best flyer in the world. There isn't a whole lot more to her character. At all. Loyalty to friends I guess. She doesn't have family the way AJ does, but family is pretty low down Rarity's priority list, so it's not really a character trait for her.

Apparently, Literary Analysis did pay off. Huh. College Requirements. *shrug*

Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and, to an extent, Fluttershy are the easiest characters to like. Rarity, Applejack and Twilight Sparkle are the easiest to relate and, because of their dichotomy between negative and positive aspects, the ones most people tend to polarize, either hating or loving them. It takes a certain amount of thought to really understand what's going on with Rarity beyond being a greedy pretty-princess clothes lover.

Psh, you worry too much. We all know Rainbow Dash is going to be the Zero of Fighting is Magic. Combos ahoy because she's the fastest, and will only die if you ever get to let a hit of her or get out of the never ending combo.
