-What will be unavailable-

• All MapleStory game servers.
  
• Website login and the billing system, including prepaid card redemption and credit card charging, will be unavailable from approximately 8 AM - 9 AM Pacific.
  

-Changes and Updates-

• MapleStory will be updated to v.116 in order to resolve some serious issues.
  
• Red Leaf High will open after the maintenance is complete.
  
• The BigWigs Gift Giveway will begin.
  
• Cash Shop specials ending: 1 NX Puffram Package, Dual Blades Mastery Books, One-Time Cosmetic Lens (White), and this week's Clearance sale items.
  

Been awhile since they've done an early morning patch like this.
Let's hope a vast amount of bugs from v.115 are fixed.

To be fair, it probably would have been this long with extensions anyway.

Anything less than fixes to all massive bugs and events and some kind of solution to the mass of BaM/Evan hackers and I will be severely disappointed.

I refer mostly to the time of day, though. They have typically been starting these in wee hours of the morning (EDT). I might lose the whole morning, but not usually the whole day. What the hell am I going to fill my work day with now? (Especially since I know that on Thursday I will have a lot of dead time to fill...)

Serious issues as in all the hotfix patches that they unwittingly unpatched.

They'd better fix SOME bugs. I mean they have a wide selection to choose from.

Ah, I feel you. The timing isn't very good for me either, from about midday to around 9pm, providing they don't extend it.

Why so late? Move back to doing midnight -> 6 am patches nexon . Oh well, this means no maple before 10pm tomrorow for me then..

That's one long update.

Hope they put up a Bug Extermination report with an equally long, "Fixed Issues", list.

More than the severity of these glitches, the problem is the quantity. There is no reason to complain about they considering them serious glitches, If anything I am glad because that will prompt then to fix them faster.

That is what I was hinting at.
This update notice explicitely lists the other events that are listed as starting on the 16th. Pirate books are not. Hence the suspicion they may have forgotten about them again.

We dont get hit at all, even in ht, czak, I use 0 hp pot since the patch. Someone said they afk in hoh for 3h and didn't get hit at least once.
It only works for atk, m atk and touch. Poison, falling rocks, dr/other stuff does dmg.
