Ask blogs that stay true to their characters work well because they have material to draw from; other bloggers. If they have enough people who know what the pineapple they're doing working on it, then it could be well done.

Perfection...god how I hate that word. And I know quite a number of people hate it as well. Again, everything you just said led me to the conclusion of "perfection." .Mov series, Veggie, CSI, Mystery, Ezyte,Pixel. They wren't looking for that. THIS. SHOW. IS.
HOW MANY BUCKING TIMES DO I HAVE TO SAY THAT? The show doesn't have to be perfect, regardless if it is your proclaimed "homage" and whatnot, that doesn't mean they have to mock every. single. bucking. detail in their animations. I KNOW IT'S JUST A FAN-MADE EP, but for the love of Celestia, they don't have to FREAKING PHOTOCOPY EVERY. SINGLE. THING.

My point exactly. They're gonna get praised for pretty much mocking the show nearly 100% of the way, however, there's room for uniqueness and come on, it doesn't have to perfect.

I saw the promo. Again, I can see how your life is making you hate perfection, but isn't the point of being better in life is to strive for perfection? Note strive, but not actually achieve. Because no one can be perfect. If it helps, I can point out that the animation frame rate feels a whee bit choppy compared to the original show. Looks like the frame rate is more like 20 FPS or something. So it's not perfect to the letter; it still needs work. It LOOKS the show, but when animated it falls short. Also, isn't it said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery? Now this is a very sincere gesture from the community, because they're going out of their way to make this. They ain't getting paid for this, they're doing this our of their own free time. If a little kid can successfully play "Flight of the Bumblebee", yes it's been heard and played over a million times by now, but wouldn't the sheer fact the kid worked so hard be admirable in itself?
Look at it this way: It's unique in the sense that fans rarely, if ever, do a custom entire episode of their favorite show. Me? I'm probably to really love this fan-made episode. It's like the ultimate love letter to DHX.

People seem really excited despite the whole 13 episodes thing (because we're totally getting more). As far as the fandom goes, I think a new season is in pretty much in order, we've slipped to the point of making some really weird pomegranate. I need new source material.
