So chances are the YS are better, unless you have a ridic scewed atk:dex, like in the high 160+s Oops, I was thinking 20 Dex XD

So at lower levels Stat is almost = to Att. ( I am talking under 50)
But If you are lvl 200 att > all.. irrigate?
FS is level 50. And, that ratio would be at level...20 or so?

1. now that i've aquired some great stat bonuses, where should i train? are dark and mixed stone golems/ zombies my best exp?
2. should my lvl 3 strafe replace my maxed double shot even though its base damage is lower, its chances of critical is higher?

All right hi I am RavingCrayon. I hail from mardia, I am looking to be the finest when it comes to Bow Masters & I am curious as to how I should attribute my skill points that I get as I advance from Ranger to the mighty Bow master. So I was curious as to what I should add my points into? At level 120 I plan to do 1 point into hurricane and 2 points into sharp eyes. I am guessing I should max sharp eye's first but I am not sure anymore. So does anyone have any advice for a up and comming bowmaster? I am currently lvl 112 and have gained 1-2 level's per day solo training or partying w/ random people. I am usually solo training but I think I might of found a training partner but she is a gunslinger. So there will be no party skills. How should I build my character to maximize damage? I am going to assume I will continue solo training.

Hurricane or SE first are best for pure damage output on Hurricane. SE first is best for damage to all your skills, boost is good if you're poor.

@ guy going to bowmaster:hurricane and 2 se @ 120 is pretty much given. Just remember, you probably want 1 Dragon pulse and 1 boost before you max out SE. 5% mastery is a big deal and DP will get rid of those tight situations (plus it's a lot of fun to shoot stuff into people xP)
If you have the financial means to get max SE, go for it. If not, get at least 9 SE, then work on 11 hurricane or boost all the way until you can pass SE 20 (which are relatively cheap at the moment, but WILL increase again very shortly. Buy now if you can).

1. Depends on your build. Rain builds tend to be faster these days (pirates at gryphons, herb town pirates, typhons, etc.). FoG and zombies are pretty decent training spots still [i trained here when i was a newbie ranger/hunter] (desolate now because of hoodoo/voodoo. <<-- good place to train if you get a map).
2. level 1 actually replaces max ds. sure it may have lower base damage, but with crits, it's still overall better. It may cost more, but who doesn't want to play around with 4 arrows? =P

Each person has their own maximized route. A friend of mine got 30 SE off the bat, then I calculated (using a quick java program) that hurricane and boost do nearly the same DoT at the same level.

Well as a general rule, raising them more or less evenly is better.
1.1 * 1.1 * 1.1 = 1.331
1.3 * 1.0 * 1.0 = 1.300
I say more or less, because the increases aren't constant each level, but yeah.

Well I am super funded & meso/nx is not a problem so like how would I build my skills for like the first few levels? Then like do you have a general guide I should follow? Like should I do SE -> SoA -> BE or like SoA -> SE -> BE or should I do them all at the same time?Like level se to 10, then add some points into SoA, etc..

I went all out SE maxed first.
Then you can either go hurricane 11>> BE w/e
It's all fun imo... BE is better in groupings of 3, i.e. 12-> 15 gives 5% mastery and some attack etc. But Hurriccane 1 can last a while. If you plan on bossing (i believe you are) max SE should be top priority.

Yea, thats why I made this character I wanted to be the best class for bossing & if anyone says NL's are better just wait till I get to your NL's lvl & we'll see which class is better

Level 62 Crossbow man with decent equips. Where to train with 2x EXP.
I'm loving windraiders but I know it's gonna slow down once I get to 63-64.
Any advice? :O

The Lower Ascent (the second Windraider map) is suppose to be amazing exp up until the mid 80's. The only thing that is problematic is that you have to get past the jump quest and have a decent chance of dying on the way there if you are not careful. Perhaps you can even stay at the first Windraider map, the person who wrote the guide on SW stayed there until 70 and was getting around 18% an hour at 69.
You can also try the typical V/Hoodoos if want a change.

I'll get to level 64 using Map 1 then at 0% (So I can die xD) I'll go to map 2 with my new equips.
Thanks xD

Yeah, that is a good idea because the first time I tried to get to the second map, I died twice at the jump quest xD.

I have an Akhasuma. When should I swap it out for something else?
(lvl 40 bow, 60 atk, and I think +1 speed and +3 avoid, 7 slots)

Well, it appears that you're already 7x, according to your profile. First of all congrats on 3rd. Second of all, there are multiple options for snipers once they hit 3rd. Despite all the new areas that have come out in the last year, you CAN still train on old-school Broa >_> I'm mainly talking about coolies.I don't give two shits what anyone else says, if you're 1-2 hitting coolies constantly, there are few places that can match or beat that kind of EXP. Granted they did nerf the maps a while back, Forest of the Dead Trees III and IV are still epic EXP. At 7x, you SHOULD be OHKOing them pretty steadily. They only have 4,500 HP. Now all of this is taking into consideration that you want to max Strafe first, which is HIGHLY recommended. Some people do the Arrow Eruption build, which isn't bad, but it's insanely boring because you really only have one good place to train if you're 8x with little strafe, and thats the Red-Nosed Pirate Den in Herb Town. Like I said, the AE build isn't bad, it's just REALLY REALLY boring. Plus, I'm just wholly against putting off strafe. It has never seemed like a good idea to me to START maxing Strafe in late 8x rather than starting at 71. Strafe is WAY more versatile than Eruption, even though Strafe is only 100% damage at max.
For me, there's only one good way to do a Sniper, and thats like this:
1 Blizzard at 70. I'm sorry, but a one second freeze is so much more useful than 4 arrows at 52% damage. Maxed Double Shot still outdamages level 1 Strafe by a mile.
From 71-80, max Strafe and nothing else.
At 80, start maxing Eruption/Puppet. You want to get AE to max as soon as possible, but get some puppet in there too. It will save your ass, it's great for training, fun to eff around with, and it's just plain cool. You do want to get AE to max before puppet though. For me, I'm 110 and finished maxing puppet 2 levels ago.
After that, it's all a matter of choice, really. I'll be a Marksman very soon and my Mortal Blow won't even be maxed. everything else will be except Thrust and Mortal Blow. Thrust is useless, completely useless. >_>
Anyway, just thought I'd share my thoughts. He's your character so you can do what you want with him, but Snipers/Marksmen are amazing, so I'd guess you'd want to do it right. And it is possible to screw up your build in 3rd, so be careful.

Hi,
I have a question about skill distribution. I'm lvl 99, and my skills are as follows:
25 Strafe
30 Arrow Rain
10 Inferno
18 Puppet
5 Mortal Blow
0 Hawk
0 Thrust
I plan on training at Typhons until lvl 120. I'm only on maybe 5 hours a week, so it would be impossible for me to get a steady party going at Newties and to find a channel in a short period of time to make the most of my time on when I do train. So I think Typhons give the best exp.
At Typhons, the only skils I use are Arrow Rain, Puppet and Inferno (for luring).
How much is strafe used in 4th job? Since I'm not using it at all right now, I'm planning on leaving it at lvl 25, since it will be replaced by hurricane.
I plan on maxing inferno as well. My final skill build is planning to look something like:
30 AR
30 Inferno
20 Puppet
25 Strafe
0 Thrust
21+ Hawk
10+ Mortal Blow
Which adds up to 136. If I recall correctly, I have 151 points at my disposal for 3rd job. Would it be better to have 29 Hawk and 17 Mortal Blow or 20 Mortal Blow and 26 Hawk?
Also, what is the activation difference between 17 Mortal Blow and 20 Mortal Blow? I've heard that the activation changed to 90% or something for lvl 20, but what are the increases in between?
Advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I forgot to mention that it is Fast (4/5, dunno which). Is speed>power among bowmen?
I'd probably try to pick up a Soul Searcher, but I'm a bit poor atm (8mil or so).
