Let me rephrase that as meaning the dumb, rude, idiotic part of the general public Sad

Drew, drew, and drew my day away in class...except Japanese and Band.
All the other classes still cease to amuse me.

I'm officially unemployed from today. My last day at work has come and gone. Now I've got a month to myself to be lazy, and to sort out the things I need for moving out and going to university next month.

You were just handed the biggest piece of evidence completely eradicating all uncertainty about possible negative reactions/repercussions to you coming out. Think about that.

Most memorable birthday ever Big Grin. Today was awesome, even though I had to waste 7 hours on a day of school that was pointless and I just got handed syllabi.

WOW. Had an absolutely amazing week at sea/Nassau/key west.
Why have I never been on a cruise before?
A couple of notes about it:
All you can eat buffet; comfort food/ice cream/pizza 24/7. Going to make the freshman 15 seem like nothing!
Live comedians - family friendly and adult shows were all hilarious.
Mostly southerners. I don't know what it is, I just don't like the accent. Lots of cute southern girls though Wink
Closet style room for five people; four of which snore. Thank god for earplugs. Something is wrong with my right ear though.
Didn't bring fancy clothes for captains day; almost didn't get let in to the sit down meal.
The pool was the size of a family backyard ground pool, and it was for ~1500 people. On that note, there are certain people who should NOT be wearing a bikini.
If Carnival is considered to be the Walmart of cruises, holy pomegranate what goes on on the other ships.
Can't gamble for another three months, but I enjoyed watching people blow hundreds on roulette in minutes.

Probably left some stuff out, but the best part about the whole cruise? We won a five day cruise for two. What the jelly donuts that never actually happens to YOURSELF!

Weeeeee and then we spent all day today at the Kennedy Space Center - up close tour of the VAB and launch pads.

Just got back from Los angeles, amazing trip, 3 days only though. We went because my sister got an offer from a talent agency, rather she found one and they decided to give her a shot. I was of course skeptical, but I haven't actually been to L/A before, anytime I go to california it's near SanFran, So I decided to come.

Upon arriving I was really..worried, we were at the outskirts of korea town and the hotel showed it. It wasn't high quality but as the trip continued we learned why it was such a popular hotel. For the locals it was the Ramadan(sp?) which is like walking distance to the metro, and most of the top tourist spots. We walked to a restaurant and it was going towards korean town. My girlfriends asian though so I think that made things a lot less risky. Not to stereotype, as korean=/=chinese, clearly but it does give you some camouflage haha. Even at the restaurant I felt like I was overhearing a conversation of mafia wives, the lady was straight up saying "You grew up the dirt you'll be nothing but dirt you smuck". Plus there was some guy on the corner just carving his nail with a box cutter. Aka, I wasn't really feeling like this trip would be that great. My girlfriend essentially told me to shut up and keep an open mind (although no where near that verbatim but that was the underlining point). Also didn't have high hopes for this Talent Agency after seeing the stuff.

Next day rolls around and we eat at denny's, closer in the actual city, and it was actually nice. We broke up in groups, dad and sister went to the agency me and gf went around and explored. We ended up getting a wee bit lossed, though nothing too serious. My dad was at boggart(sp not sure) street, so we ended up walking 5 blocks in the mexican ghetto. STILL ALIVE. Anyway we go to this talent agency and it's huge. Like, a sushi bar, gift shop, 50 floors, it was goddamn nice. They even shot a few "portfolio" pictures for Brad pitt. So I was thoroughly impressed, they were proffesional and knew their sh`it. My sister got really buddy buddy with her make up artist and found out she dated some of the high end producers who had their hands in a lot of pixar films. So this looks extremely promising.

We ended up walking in hollywood, ya know typical tourists, taking pictures of the stars on the sidewalk. So we decide to do the whole tour package with the wax museum, guiness and another one I can't remember. Nothing that great but kept the day going. Then as we're walking down to go do the hard rock cafe, there's frekin will ferral and amanda bynes, doing a premier. My girlfriend got some really good shots, so did my sister so I'll upload those laters. OH and to go on side tangent, we flew on the SAME SECTION AS JOE JONAS. We didn't even recognize him until he took off his fedora! Not only that but while in chicago we sat next to the midget from project X. I wasn't ENTIRELY sure, I didn't want to stereotype, but we overheard his conversations about movies and sh`it and for certain was him.

Anyway after that we went to hardrock cafe, and it was gorgeous, our waiter was hilarious and we got a live performance from this indie band Looner Which to be honest was really good and has potential. THey just have to find that one explosive song. Look through their stuff it's catchy.

We also visited some club's like the Roxy, and The Key. The latter one was a club my dad actually performed in with David Lee Roth, although it was just one song they were impressed. So they let my dad in after answering a few questions only he would know about the club like 30 years ago. Fortunately one of them was a veteran manager of the club and got his hand in with the new management, so he could verify his story. We also saw miley cyrus at a local bar but we couldn't get anywhere near her lol. So we all went home and prepared for our VIP passes for universal.

Universal studios was phenomenal. If you decide to go absolutely take the VIp tickets, they are like $300 each but you get every penny out of it. We got to stand on the set of Parenthood, go through the entire set of Desperate housewives, road every ride in the themepark, and saw the best stunt show in the world, in a f`ucking day. We also got to go through the prop center, which had like the wolfman prob, the original Rapters from jurassic park, and so many other things. We also stood at the townsquare where back to the future was flimed, front row not even a 5 minute wait time on rides that people with the pass directly below VIP had to wait minimum an hour and a half. We also got to eat at this gorgeous restaurant, with a view over the entire valley, we could even see warner brothers.

By the way the simpsons ride was the best, transformers was good..but it was too much cinema, you didn't get really involved like you did in the simpsons. Home now and already miss the VIP treatment qq

I'm such a work a holic. I worked 5AM-10AM today by my own generosity because they needed me, and then went back at 6PM and left around 9PM. We're way under staffed and I'm the prime pick for when they need help, needless to say I got -zero- production done today. Oh well, work keeps my mind busy~

Marksman Bryan I'm guessing it was a Carnival cruise you won/were on?

I've been on two cruises before, Carnival and then Celebrity lines. Honestly the Carnival cruises are like, eh yeah, but truly the Walmart of cruises, like you heard. The Celebrity cruise was just phenomenal. What specifically are you curious about when you say "holy pomegranate what goes on on these other lines?"

OT: Moved out of my apartment in the Financial District to live with my aunt and uncle for this last week of the internship. Sad I'm no longer living in the 212 but at least I still get to work in Midtown for another week. Life is going to be INSANE for the next like 10 days, here we go.

Carnival was our first cruise, and my whole family thought it was pretty awesome. I guess we are surprised it's considered the Walmart of cruises - Could the awesomeness really be THAT much better on a "nicer" cruise line? (From what we've been hearing from relatives/friends, yes, they can be haha so I guess it's not really a question :p)

Currently at a neighborhood block party. It's pretty sweet since it's on my street, and everyone's just enjoying themselves...
...what's stupid is some of my neighbors are complaining that there's no booze.
Really? Is that all they're caring about right now? There's more kids than adults, ya know.

While I was driving with my family to dinner yesterday, the radio station that was tuned on the car - out of the blue - puts on Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up"

Rickrolled by a radio station. ;_;

On a much more serious note, still toiling away at the fall internship applications (need to get them done ASAP). And I'll need to take care of certain academic applications soon...been slacking off way too hard this summer.

I think the big difference between the cruises is the "luxury" factor, for lack of a better term - in other words, yes, everything is that much better on a "nicer" cruise line. Like one of the big things I remember from the Carnival cruise was the number of obese people, both children and adults - our ship was something insane like 50-60% obese. The average social class of the people on the Carnival cruise as well seemed lower than that on "nicer" cruise lines. And generally all of the "awesome" things about the Carnival cruise - the food options, the design of the ship with everything available, etc. - seemed much more upgraded on the Celebrity cruise I was on. If that makes any sense.

I went on both years ago so comparing them from memory with specific isn't easy but generally yes, most cruise lines are "nicer" than Carnival. That's not to say Carnival is a "bad" cruise line, though.

Took a fasting blood glucose test.

That's amazing considering my fasting blood glucose was 90 just one month ago. That's a massive difference!
