Maplestory Mutiny?

lol you guys must be nuts to want content that quickly.
gMS can't even handle their own version, let alone a sped up rate.

Localization is not that easy. It takes ~4+ months for a reason. Especially with the mess that is GMS' files.

Well, only for maple story (talking about nexon games I played mabinogi, dragon nest sea and GMS), for example the last chapter of mabinogi was released in Korea only 7 days before North america and the alchemist job was released like 2 and half months before in korea.

So, maybe it's because GMS team is a mess and they can't do it fast enough.

Edit: Or they don't want to break the schedule of "major patches" for example: Summer update in KMS-> Winter Update for Global. I f they only had 2 months difference they would need some good exclusive patches or events for the Holidays and summer.

Wow what is with that wordpress, that is terrible.

The fact that GMS has started to drift away from the rigid structure of KMS patches is actually a VERY good sign.

I know most of you don't see it, but it actually means there is a significant amount of effort being put into LOCALIZATION. And by localization, I don't mean translation. Those two terms are very different, but for the vast majority of GMS' lifetime, Nexon America has treated them as one and the same. More recently, Nexon began differentiating content for the American market -- the efforts have yielded little success with the long-term players, but LOADS of success for the bottom line, mainly from the new cash-shop events, marketing, and systems like the Marvel Machine.

Any time a company pours time, money, and effort into making a differentiated product while it has the option to copy-paste should be cause for celebration. Yes, I do recognize that GMS is still largely copy-paste, but any sign of a drift from that approach should truly be embraced with open arms by the community. And it is. Because Southperry is hardly an indication of the 99%.

I'm certainly looking forward to Q2 results, where I think we're likely to see some significantly larger numbers due in part to the improved effort put forth by Nexon.

So they finally released a name for the mysterious update that happens on August 8th?.. Its not like we already dont know whats coming, but maybe they'll surprise us and sneak some exlcusive garbage in there . ............Oh wait..

This is funny. Remember when Nexon asked the players what they wanted the name for Big Bang and Chaos to be in GMS? Both of them were kept. Yet now, they aren't asking us, and changing the names without asking us. Funny.

I mean, the Lion King's Castle Update could've been called something like Simba's Revenge instead of Aftershock and it would matter for all of twenty seconds.

When I came into this thread, I thought it was about a person who wanted the community to get together in FM and stage a boycott or something. But then I remembered Maplestory kids aren't smart enough to do that.

The boycott wouldnt really do anything anyway...what are we supposed to boycott when we are finally getting the somewhat better GM support / better customer service for the players. I mean their are still bug issues etc but tbh it wouldnt be successful in-game. This would have to be at their office for it to even do anything..Heck GM's are barely on anyway... we'd be wasting our time HOPING for the slim chance a GM is online and spots the boycott

On another note : I wonder if a BigWig Event will happen in this update.

I remember the reason I wanted a brawler was the whole... brawling thing. That's been long dead since Big Bang. IMO they've taken a horrible direction with Buccs.

Unique gameplay is nice, but I would do some things I wouldn't be too proud of if I could magically turn my Aran into a Demon Slayer, Mikhail or Kaiser with comparable gear.

Umm... Nexon's glitched the Skills Mastery books for Pirates more than once, so it's likely to happen again. Also Nexon's proven that they utterly hate Pirates, so I think it's safe to say your Mastery Books are the least of your concerns.
