I love how everyone is floundering despite the fact that they're practically tag teaming the quincies, and Kenpachi comes along and roflstomps two of them in a matter of seconds.

Also I wish the whole "sword re-animation" thing they did that was a filler was actually part of the main story. That would make this bankai thing so much more interesting, as we can revisit those "sword" characters, and also give the Gotei 13 an advantage as the spirit varient of the sword can't be tamed.

Ugh. I don't know exactly to what you are referring to, but I don't think we need to give Kubo more excuses to make this war go any slower. At this rate I'll be done with college by the time Ichigo re-enters the battle.

It was anime only but to be honest was good plot development. The spirit of the swords became characters and ended up working together. If I recall they lossed their bankai and their sword's could actually use it, so if it was post cannon this would be a situation they'd be familiar with. It was probably the best bleach filler as it gave the characters more depth, without doing an episode for each one with retarded backstory
