This stronger enemy all of a sudden appears and kills off the black mage. Darmoa or whatever it is ends up making maple a terrible place

MapleStory 2 is in development for quite some time. I'm speaking about years.
The sequel is developed by a different team (MS2 team) with a different perspective and ideas etc about their game. The story could be different than the story in MapleStory. I am hoping that new information will be revealed in November this year about MS2.

An official said that we should see the Black Mage as part of MapleStory and not some super strong boss monster.
The Black Mage is linked to Magnus and probably Grandis.
And the Black Mage has fallen before because of the five heroes, but he has just been resurrected in the story.

I think it is pretty obvious, at least for me, that Nexon has put on hold idea of developing MS2 for now. We should have seen something about that proyect since like 2 years ago, yet all there about it is that small and blurry image from their site, which looks more like little planet than MS. Besides, MS updating rhythm has increased instead of decreased as it should (although we get only classes) during these years.

I would forget about MS 2 until the day they release another announcement about it.

MapleStory 2 was expected to go in closed beta in Q4 2011 even though some people had their doubts in the industry circles, but it's still not released. So, we can conclude that the game has been postponed. The reason I think it will be revealed in November is because of the Gstar show, which is as big as E3 Expo.
