Details: I logged off at around 7:30 PM PST after participating in the Pink Zakum event. About 45 minutes later I received a text message from a friend saying that I was logging on and off various characters on my account.
Obviously I wasn't actually on at this point, but I opened Maple ASAP and managed to limit what I lost. All the gear that I lost was tradeable.
Added information/bump Wrote:I estimate that, by today's Bellocan/Nova market, my items lost were worth around 10 billion meso.
A bit of a high ball figure for what I lost but nonetheless a large amount of money.
Yes, I have memorized what the stats are on most of my items. z_z no life.
Rick Wrote:The way you worded it made you sound like a douchebag out for what he can get. That's what Eos was trying to say. He wasn't doubting the legitimacy of your claim.
Sorry, but English isn't my first language, I just trying to explain to Nexon's staff what I want for the compensation and why I was requesting that amount. And sorry to Eos if I misunderstood what she meant.

You should just present your case without a demand like that. It's all well and good but you forget, this isn't a requirement for nexon to do. It should be mind you, but it isn't.

So you are asking Nexon to compensate you for illegitimate equips they should by rights ban you for ever owning? Nice.
Rick Wrote:Ahahaha. Eos is quite the queen.
Eos is a she deep in my mind. His/Her maple character is a girl if I remember correctly (back to the day when he/she still put the character on avatar/signature).
SaptaZapta Wrote:So you are asking Nexon to compensate you for illegitimate equips they should by rights ban you for ever owning? Nice.
Say what you will. Everything that I own is mostly bought off my friend, who had a 190 NL and quit shortly after my DB (different account) was hacked. It's funny how you can get away with accusing people of being illegitimate while the vast majority of the forum get infractions, because of the sole reason that you are a mod.
emailbox Wrote:And then suggested that I should have been banned, which is to say that I'm illegitimate.
You're stretching for that one. Take your persecution complex elsewhere.
People have gotten banned for owning illegal items and you turned in a ticket to complain about having lost yours and wanting compensation.
Nothing in what she said was an accusation, it was a statement of how they could've reacted based on precedent.
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.
Oh again, thank you Rick for the interpretation on Eso's reply. And a deep sorry to Eso...
Now when I look at Eso's reply (I don't think it was the amount so much as your phrasing) several times, it reads "I don't think it was the amount matter so much, it was your wording".
But I interpreted it as "I don't think the amount is so much as what you are saying" at the beginning.
To be honest, I don't really want to ask for that much compensation in my first two tickets. I just hope an amount that cover my actual NX lost or even a 100k will make me happy.
But their replies heated me up and this makes me want a fair amount. That 400k NX I requested didn't even include my VIP wand, 3x evolving rings, belts etc.
At the moment, I just want to win this in my mind. Not for the NX, more likely is because "they pissed me off".
Trying to avoid the responsibilities when it was their fraud at the beginning? No way!

Win...? I don't understand this mindset.
At least you got compensation and from observing how many players have been screwed over by Nexon, I would look at the positive sides of this and be grateful for what you can recover.
I lost more than you in a situation that was not hack-related at all (meaning, there's no doubt that anything was of my fault) and all I've received from them were 3 closed tickets.
I understand it's frustrating that you lost a lot, but from what I've heard from wealthy players who have been compromised, none of them truly recover the full value of all the items they lost. 250K NX is a hefty sum and I'd be more than happy if I even received that based on the lack of responses I have received so far. I'd understand your complaint if you got like 5-25k and was brushed off (like the previous poster with the Shop glitch), but yeah... 250k is a lot...

no.... Not 250k, it is 25k!
Edit: Plus, it is not the mesos or NX that matter that much. It is how they react, they did admit there is a breach (to their shareholder, not to their consumers), but never give an apologise. And they are trying to avoid the responsibilities and consequences. From their letter to shareholder, they honestly know when their security have been breached, but never warn their consumers. As a consequence, a lot of accounts got compromised. Then, no apologise to compromised account owners, no proper compensation. Is that how a company run now?
Got another reply RE: wrongful bigfoot "glitch" banning in '08. (Only took 3 days btw)
Quote:Hey there, I understand that you desire compensation and the previous block history removed from your account. As stated previously, we can not offer you compensation for items that may have expired during that block period. We will also not be able to remove this history from your account.
I also understand that you feel you should at least be able to review the information that was utilized to block your account as well, however, as stated in previous tickets in the past we are unable to share that information with you.
I apologize that we are not able to give you what it is you desire, however, this is simply not a decision we can change regardless of the time that has passed.
Take care and thank you for your understanding.
Sincerely,
Senior GM Libra

Security Tip: Please do not give your password, PIN, or PIC number to anyone for any reason. Nexon representatives will NEVER ask you for your password, PIN, or PIC.
So in short, what they're saying is that A) They won't compensate or remove my ban histroy, and B) They won't explain to me why I was actually banned, seeing as I didn't abuse any glitches. It's a case of "believe us because we say so, not because we're going to prove it".
I think I've approached this from all angles possible and it's clear that the ban was not appropriate, but they're unwilling to fess up to that. If they had the evidence, it would have been handed over or at least explained in detail (as they have done in the past).

Lol So after seeing this I decided to log onto the site and see about submitting a ticket (got hacked in sep 2011 or so). I went to the NX tab and apparently, even after changing the email, password, and PIC, my account was used again last month by some unknown person and the NX was emptied out. I've never had problems with anything online like the problems I've had with this game.
My account hacked ticket was answered on Wednesday, after being open for five weeks and in "work in progress" for another week.
Oh I see. It took them a day so far to move my ticket to Work in Progress (submitted it yesterday morning). Hope that means I'll get an answer next week then.
