Diablo3 class thread
I remember reading that article. I don't really see the point in it since people are just full clearing A3 Inferno without ever swapping for MF gear.
All it'll really do is hurt people who farm A1 or whatever in MF gear.

I just think it's absolutely ridiculous that they want to further nerf one's ability to get gear. From what I gathered reading the forum thread about the article, a small minority of people are complaining that people are switching out MF gear when an Elite Pack is almost dead. I honestly don't understand the problem those people have, and the fact that Blizzard is jumping to create more reasons for people to resort to the RMAH is just staggering. No one can say that won't be the result either because it will be. Desperate people do stupid things. As do kids with their parents' Credit Cards.

Article should just be called "How can we f**k you over more?"

"Let us know what you think"

Also lol, if people find it annoying to swap gear then just don't do it. It's a SINGLE PLAYER GAME dammit, play it as you feel it's best. Don't ruin the fun of others because a few people complained.

That's exactly my opinion. Why does Blizzard have to pineapple with something that's a completely optional thing that doesn't hurt ANYONE?

If someone is in your party and doing it, it actually BENEFITS you because Magic Find is Averaged over the entire group. That means if they get +200% MF, everyone gets +50%. Why is anyone complaining about this? It's absolutely ridiculous.

Herpa derp, there's a way to lessen the item-grind that this game is. Let's complain about it so it's removed!

LMFAO. Is this actually serious or is Blizz trolling because this is hilarious?

The only people that would be affected are the people who are clearing stuff in their best gear and swapping to MF gear right before stuff dies. If you're clearing A1 in MF gear or clearing A3 in regular gear, you have nothing to worry about.

I don't see why anyone would complain about this. The best way to farm should never be as annoying as having to rapidly right click half your inventory just before something dies.

I can't believe I forgot to take a screenshot before it sold but it was something like 1100 dps 1h sword with 150 dex 150 str 120 vit. I don't think I could've sold it for more than 60m in GAH so it was a pretty good deal for me. It dropped from an act 2 goblin.

Try checking the Auction House History. I can't remember if you can see actual stats from there or if can only see the name.

The majority of replies to that article ask for an in-game button to switch between two sets quickly. It was there in D2(might have just been weapons in D2, I don't remember), and it's there in plenty of other similar games. It has more use than JUST MF switching, so it makes no sense that it wouldn't be there in the first place. Outside of requesting this feature, I'm not exactly sure what people can complain about regarding MF sets. "People are trying to lessen the grind! Lemme try to get that removed because I didn't think of it first!"

Except the best way to farm is not swapping. You take a very large risk of dying when you swap plus a third of your inventory is taken up by gears. The best way would be to have MF on your regular gear that way they're in effect even when you kill regular mobs.

In any case I don't think any of the their offered options will discourage swapping. For options 1-3, swapping will still be better than no swapping. Option 4 destroys anyone who swaps different gear for different mobs. Option 5 is most workable however as it is right now 5 stack NV is only barely better than swapping to max MF set with no NV. People will just resort to farming a single easy elite/goblin with swapping rather than clearing a whole act with 5 stack.

That's just what I think anyway. They probably won't change anything 'cause that thread is filled overwhelmingly with "NO DONT CHANGE!!!!1."
