I just got the newest issue of Beckett Massive Online Gamer which includes an interview(mostly just quotes, so its kind of an interview...still real info though) I put an article below but because its kind of long (mostly talking about pirates), i put a brief summary of the new info...If i can i will put a screenshot of the article. The nexon interviewe was Product Coordinator, Sheloman Byrd. I have to go soon, so i will fix and update this post later. Summary
-Crimsonwood keep 2 is scheduled for first quarter of 2009
-new crafting recipes (anybody thinking maker skill?)
-new high level party quests ( has to with next thing on this list)
-The nexon interviewe asked "What would it be like to fight four bosses at once" ~wink-wink~...he said that these new pqs will need skill and tactics.
-Magatia
-a new pet, White Duck , with a unique skill(winner of a drawing contest)
-12 events are scheduled for December
The spoiler below contains the article. This just has the part of the article that has the new stuff, so i might add the rest later. (most of it is about pirates)
Spoiler
"The pirates update for Maplestory is akin to a new expansion with a new class to play and areas ranging from newbie lands all the way to the top tier.
It's almost a standalone update, but it's also deeply entwined with the rest of the story. An area of Masteria from the last update, the second half of Crmsonwood Keep, a massive level 70+ map, is pre-balanced for the pirates update and will be launched in the first quarter of 2009. There will also be new crafting recipes, pirate-themed NPCs, and new, challenging high level party quests. These new party quests being developed are in response to player demands and the best way to be prepped for them would be to plan tactics to deal with questions such as, "What would it be like to fight four bosses at the same time?" High level characters are invited to find out.
A new pet, the White Duck, will be rolled out in December. This pet has a special skill simply called "Swan" It looks like a duck and quacks like a duck and yet the duckling turns into a beautiful swan.
About 12 events are planned in December, as well as the release of yet another brand new land, Magatia, with over 15 new maps, new quests, and a faction choice for players. Somewhere wrapped up in a story is the rumored reappearance of the dreaded Black Magacian. It is these rumors that prompted the pirates to make their presence known again,to prepare the land and train adventures to deal with this threat.
Will players see some huge GM event with a Black Magician despoiling the land? ill pirates and players have to band together to defeat him?
Sheloman was not telling. Only so many spoilers were allowed."

Edit: fixed some of the errors in the article type-up. Though, if anyone finds anymore errors, please let me know.
Ill try to soon but i have to go to sleep soon...
I will hopefully put a picture soon and the rest of the article soon.
And also you might be able to find the magazine at a store, if i cant provide a pic.
Yay! finally Magatia is coming out! I wanna start the makers skill ASAP!!! I wanna explore the second part of CWK but I'm too weak for that .
Meh, there's always youtube and dark sight heheh ^^.
My hopes are high, but I am expecting dissapointment from the PQ(s). Magatia would have been nice before pirates came out, I would have been able to skip voodoos on my pirate. The events sound interesting though. What do they mean by Faction choice?

They better cheer a lot of people up, there couple past events have screwed a lot of people over *cough gach chests cough*
That boss PQ looks fun so more a reason to level up
im getting annoyed at people going "oh that stupid chest event ruined the whole maple economy" NO! better yet, it made it better by allowing other the chance to get items rich people covet to make huge profits on, really, i say pineapple them, they dont do enough to help those who need it.
In the article, I think they're referring to the Alchadeno/Jemunist or w/e
