Sengoku Era Information! [JapanMS]

I would easily trade half of the characters on my account for this, if it turns out being as good as I hope.

Here's the back story. Someone can check it for accuracy if they want to. I'm not the best at the language, so there might be errors / awkward translations.

今から数百年前、時は平安時代。

当時の大陰陽師アベノセイメイは、いつか第六天魔王の力を持ち、
日本全土を脅かす存在が現れることを予言した。

時は流れ、戦国の世。
予言通り、自らを第六天魔王の化身と呼ぶオダノブナガが現れ
圧倒的な武力によって、戦国の世でまたたくまに覇権をにぎっていった。
ノブナガは第六天魔王に生まれ変わるため、
本能寺で魔王降臨の儀式を行おうとしていた。

しかし、アベノセイメイは
それに対抗する5人の人物が現れることもまた予言していたのである。

彼らは後に”五星の子たち”と呼ばれ、
日本全土を脅かす存在オダノブナガｎi対抗する運命を持つ子どもだたち
である。その証として、天体を示す印が体のどこかに刻まれているという。

魔王降臨の儀式を阻むため、本能寺を急襲する軍勢に参加していた
剣豪「ハヤト」、陰陽師「カンナ」は、その身に運命の星を宿し、
オダノブナガを倒す役目をおった”五星の子”なのである。

Many hundreds of years before today, there was a time of peace.

The Great Diviner of that time, Abeno Seimei, had a premonition that, at some point, an entity would appear, weilding the power of the 6th Sky Demon King, and threaten the entire land of Japan.

Time had passed in the world of Sengoku.
Just as predicted, a man by the name of Oda Nobunaga appeared, calling himself the 6th Sky Demon King.
With an overwelming military force, the world of Sengoku was seized into hegemony in the blink of an eye.
In order to be reborn into the 6th Sky Demon King, Nobunaga went to Honnoji to perform the ritual of the Demon King’s Decendant.

However, Abeno Seimei had a premonition that foretold that 5 skilled men would rise to oppose Nobunaga.

From them on, they would be called the “Children of Five Stars,” and they would be burdened to carry the fate of opposing the threat of Oda Nubunaga over the entire nation of Japan. A mark would be printed somewhere on each their bodies to show proof of their heavenly bodies.

A skilled swordman by the name of “Hayato” and an excorcist by the name of “Kanna” joined with the military forces for the sake of preventing the ritual of the Demon King’s Decendant. They were the “Children of Five Stars” who would carry the stars of fate in their bodies and carry out their duty of defeating Oda Nobunaga.




Also, I think the "Ranmaru Expedition" will be about preventing the ritual. lol

Nah, I don't think so. I'd be surprised if that's the case, though. :f6: In fact, that would be kind of neat. JMS has its own team of legendary heroes.




On a side note, also coming with the first update of Sengoku will be Character Card Decks and Part Time Job - something we didn't get with Justice. :3 Here's a preview of what the new area will look like :

That's that random NPC that turned up in one of the extractions and no one knew what it was for. Forgot about that, guess that was a big hint.

Wouldn't be surprised for them to get all five jobs eventually, obviously not all in one update, with Korea getting them at a later time, or reusing similar mechanics for them (if any particularly new or interesting mechanics are added at all). The ability to coordinate updates and collaborate in general would be much easier when you're in the same time zone, as well as having just in general better business relations for Korea and Japan, despite how much their internets hate each other.

The Hayato sprite looks like a jumping Polearm Slash, and the Kanna sprite looks like a generic mage end-cast sprite.

At least, that's how I see it going based on pretty much no reference since I'm posting from work, but that's what it looks like to me.

The only thing to comment about so far are the character designs, they sure looks good, let's hope their abilities are as good.

Eh I don't know. In Samurai Warriors yes he was depicted as a Villain by some, however, it also shows that there were many who loved him, not just for the sake of serving him. He was without a question relentless and fierce but, he had to be more then that if his retainers loved him and wanted to carry out his work.(Aside from Mitsuhide)

He was playable in the game series the other guy said and still portrayed as a villain and why is that rayquaza black with a person who was called a demon throughout history.

I just hope they make a full fledged area with this if they are doing that...since Azwan didn't have an actual area if I remember the blog posts correctly.

Ooh, they're going to combine all the other adventurer classes ala Buccasair Jett and Dragon Warrior, and then we're going to eventually get them reskinned!

Wonder what they're going to do for Soul Links though. I mean, they can't make them all NX based, can they?

Well if GMS doesn't eventually get this, then SEA has a very good chance of getting it. I'll hope they at least get it.
