They pineappleed Phantoms in the ass again.

We should not be suprised by things like this anymore. Nexon's strategy for new characters is:

- Release OP character
- A lot of people make one so that they can see lots of big pretty numbers on their screen
- People spend lots of NX on new character since it has its own CS
- Nexon release new OP character (go to step 2)
- Nexon nerfs the old one to balance the game

Look at DS's for another example.

According to the patch notes, Phantom storyline quests were added. I must say, there are LOTS of them (Roughly 100!). Now we just have to figure out how far along in the Tempest line that this update goes. I am thinking that it only goes up to the second part. (assuming Job reorganization for part 1, Luminous class for part 2)

In their defense its easier to release an overpowered class and then nerfing it than releasing an underpowered class and then having to buff it. What I mean is, if something is broken you can easily fix it but if something is missing you will have a hard time finding what you need.

Luminous doesn't necessarily need to be a successor. The Luminous class could just be the Luminous Hero reborn after being defeated at the sealing of the black Mage. Or perhaps Luminous left the mortal plane after the mage was sealed because the battle was over. With the Black Wings trying to resurrect the Black Mage, Luminous may have been reborn for the upcoming battle. (Evan is a successor because the dragon and the person are taking the place of Freud and Afrien. But a reborn Luminous is still the original Luminous.)

Waiting for dat trailer for Tempest, and confirm/denial of 5th Job, though if they were going to have 5th Job, why not give it to Luminous, they are being kind of secretive though so who knows.

It could be part of the storyline. If I extend my storyline above, it could be that the rebirth of Luminous brings 'Enlightenment" and 5th job is created.

I don't care I just want my flashy animations for my I/L archmage.

6 --> 7 hits for Absolute Kill...? That's quite a big increase in DPS during bossing while Equilibrium is active...

That's also a pretty big buff to Light Reflection...

I don't see why they had to nerf the critical like that, it wasn't that harmful and the cooldown, I don't even know how long the skill itself last but I bet it's shorter than this cooldown.

Final attack based off of your crit rate and a "base" crit rate of like 65% (when including all the crit increases). Getting that last 35% is pretty easy if you're extremely funded.
Soul Steal cooldown nerf because stealing away Cancel buffs is kind of ridiculous.

I agree with Even on Nexon's class approach. Easy to make something just really strong and tweak it down where it's kind of obvious. But if you make an underpowered you really have to figure out why it is and then fix it from there.
