Those are referred to as Sleeper items. They cannot be made into Masterwork except for the HM recipe drops, and Masterwork is a MASSIVE boost over a simple +9. I saw my first one today, actually; it was better for many reasons. First off, it gained extra lines at 1/3/5/7/9/10/11/12 instead of 3/6/9, AND 4 lines before the +lines even come into effect. Yes, 6-8 extra potential lines over anything else aside from a few Sigil/Suryati drops and a handful of World Boss set drops, and even those are still trumped by at least 3-4 lines. The second obvious is the obscene bonus upgrades over +9 give. The third is the potential lines themselves are buffed and a few new ones are even added; aspd% goes up slightly to 9% a line, % damage on various stuff goes up anywhere from 50-75% of their original values, raw stat values (3-5 per line) are enabled, other modifiers are buffed slightly. The main focus is, 9% attack speed and +3-5 Power. The one I saw was +11 t13 disc with 4 lines of +Power and 2 of attack speed, along with a few others; for a sorc, I would have just gotten as many aspd lines as possible, but eh, with THAT MANY LINES the cost to reroll the potentials is upwards of 1K gold per attempt (you need 13 powders that cost like 30G or something per line you want to lock, so near the end it would be absurdly expensive...though worth it, since t13 is the best we are going to have for a very long time anyway, I suppose).

Hit 60 on my Sorc on the 28th. Bought my T12 Enigmatic Disc and got it to +6. I don't know what piece of gear I should get next. I'm not getting +9 for a while.

gloves, for the crit. defense doesn't do jack for clothies, you will be getting 1shot regardless, so might as well maximize dps output.

That said, difference betwen +6 and +9 on sorc is considerable. And then, I had the misfortune of doing a run with a sorc with a +12 t13, that poor tank was in all +9 t12s and full threat stuff and he couldn't have been holding agro more than 50% of the time on bosses, because every time she crit (and sometimes even when she didn't with fireblast and the skills that already have high threat) she pulled max agro; they tested with him trying to to build up agro first, didn't work, which leads me to believe there is an agro cap and a single shot from her pulls max on a crit.

I'm holding off getting my disc to +9 until I have more money for alkahests and maybe fodder (currently have 1.5k gold). Should I use golds for +7 or try using blues?

Wow, I feel bad for that tank xD. I haven't run any of the 60 dungeons yet (I plan to this weekend). More concerned with getting geared properly first.

If you only have 1.5K farm three spires in val tirkai for a while. A day farming there can get you upwards of 10K.

Man, Warrior is terribly boring until level 28...then it does a complete 180, holy crap. Blade Draw+40% remove CD glyph is incredible, traverse cut is probably the most enjoyable skill in the game, so many attack combos open up at 28...if you make a Warrior, just consider the first 27 levels the worst levels of the class. Oh, and I maxed out my zerker, next will probably be the warrior though priest is already 41, friend I'm leveling it with exclusively has been playing a mercedes on MS for some reason.

MAKE A BACKUP. Seriously, make a backup of the entire install folder. I know it's huge, but it's better than having to redownload the entire game. Every few patches the installer screws up and corrupts my entire game, so just, keep a backup of the bulk of the game so your install time will only be a few minutes instead of 5 hours. That's my advice to everyone that plays, haha.

Also, do NOT use the ingame AA, force AA through your graphics card, that will raise framerate at least 5-10 and will not be blurry as crap. The other thing that I suggest is going to tera/client/S1game/config and changing the line bSmoothFrameRate=TRUE to bSmoothFrameRate=FALSE in defaultengine.ini and s1engine.ini. This function is incredibly broken in tera; it's SUPPOSED to keep your framerate stable, but what it really does is reduce your framerate to your lowest values and keeps it there. In some areas I gain 20-30 fps by turning this off.

Been a month since I last posted, but I've still been playing nonstop; still have 2 60s but I now also have 4 40+s as well, and the rest are 30+. And I got swimsuits for all my Elins!

Countdown for QoA2 is 10 days. If you don't already know, QoA2 is the first real game expansion for the US version; it adds Battlegrounds, 3 new instances, a new item tier, revamps for almost all classes, and new glyphs, as well as revamp on the shitty Nexus system where you can now form a raid of 10 players and fight one, instead of having to go in a huge laggy mob and only on the weekends

By the way, Chronoscrolls are only 1K gold now, you can buy like 5 of them just from leveling to 60. My sub expires in 2013 now, and I only bought 1 month from the actual subscription payments.

Just ordered this since i saw the hard copy on amazon going for like... 30$ now. Might buy 6 months and see how I like it.

Been grinding 15 hours a day for the past few days; taken my Slayer from 20-50 in 3 days, I think I can get it 60 in under a week if I keep this up.

Now would actually be a good time, since you should be hitting cap just as a ton of new endgame content hits.

By the way, I play Frost Reach, if you care.

I'd have went for it since i hate being completely alone, but a friend already suggested Dragonfall (i think that's the name) with her. I was interested in seeing if you were on the same server, ah well.

If you avoid pub instancing it will be fine. Dragonfall has the second worst pub instancers in the game, just behind Celestial Hills, the RP server. I usually just ditch the party if anyone from either server joins unless they have a ridiculously high gearlevel or I know them to be decent at the game.

My Slayer is 53 now, should be 60 by tomorrow night; Slayer is really fun. Grab reset CD glyph on Overhand and Heart Thrust, and suddenly you are spamming skills like a madman. Then I got enough for the 15% aspd buff on normal attack glyph and it's even faster. My Zerker still feels stronger though, even before the revamp it did...but Slayer has very constant DPS whereas Zerker is burst melee, which can have issues with interrupts or enemy guarding/dodging if you don't know the tells. Still, god damn it is satisfying to see 1M crits while everyone else is doing less than half that.

Oh, and buy 1 month; if you grind to 60 in that month, you will have enough raw gold just from quests to freeride yourself another 3-5 months depending on your server scroll prices.
