Character Card System
#61
Hmm, I'm getting the "A" bonus then when I put a S, S, A combo. You said it's determined by the middle ranked card?

The "Warrior's XYZ" are based on lowest rank, while everything else is based on highest.

EternalRain Wrote:I would think there would be a point (base HP wise) where instead of a Pally, you'd add another DrK for the HP boost, and the 4% HP boost on the 16% HP to damage would eventually triumph the 1.5 * level static damage bonus, which is maxed at 300. 1.2064 (HP) = 1.16 (HP) + 300. HP would have to be higher than 6466 to make the DrK HP boost > damage boost.

EDIT: Oops, this is assuming you don't already have a DrK in the group. I'll recalculate in replacing a Pally for another DrK.
1.2064(HP) + 300 = 1.2528 (HP). Same outcome. HP > 6466 means Drk HP->damage boost > damage boost from Pally.

This 6466 HP is base though, so that would make it somewhat harder to reach.

The same goes for the Mages. All F/P's for damage, and a Bishop here and there for extra MP recovery % from potions (if you need it lol).

Im not sure what you mean =[ I have a DrK in both decks for the warriors, so adding another DrK to either deck would be impossible.

Hmm.

I have a S ranked Aran & Evan and an A rank Mercedes in one deck. I should have "Warrior's Growth (A)" (which I do have and would confirm what you said) but my "Great Return" is also at rank A.

Bah, maybe I misread it. Damn game is down so I can't check. Frown

No, you're correct. I must have misread horribly, because I'm getting the S Rank effect even though I have SS/SS/S.

Kind of renders CKs less useful if you're after the S rank bonuses. Do the HP/MP recovery effects for aran/evan definitely have a cooldown on them? Last I checked the official notice made no mention of one.

That's what the KMSers said, majority rules (2 S -> S bonus) perhaps it's different here.

Knowing GMS, they probably now just use the lowest ranked card in your deck to determine your bonus instead of just using majority -_-

So what? Just level a 3rd char to 120 its not like it takes a lot of time on gms but if you are doing this for 3 level 200 chars you seriously need to rethink what you are doing cause its not worth it.

I doubt GMS went out of it's way to implement it incorrectly, it's probably a bug, or it was always this way.

So if I get two S rank sets, will affect any new character I make, or only new characters over 30? (Can't test cause I'm not on my home computer)

Its for the class bonuses only, not for the job bonus. Like if you make one cannoneer to level 120, one mechanic to level 120 & one corsair to level 30 you should get 6% ignore defense if you match those 3 cards in one set (only if the majoirty of your set count) but if it doesnt then you have to lvl that corsair to 120 aswell. I dont see how that could be an issue for most people these days.

That's not what I was asking, I'm asking if I already have a rank S set made, My Archmage, 10th Growth Evan, and a 4th Job Battlemage, and I make say a Phantom in 2 weeks, will than Phantom get the S set bonus, from level 1, or will it first have to reach level 30.

Im saying it makes Cygnus Knights even more useless than they already are. Because now no matter what you do, you will never put them in any decks because set rounds down.

You guys are just reading something wrong sorry Sad

S+S+A warrior = S warrior effect
all 3 are A rank or better = A deck effect

S+S+B = S effects again

All 3 are S rank = S deck effect.

S+A+B = middle rank (A) effect.
