It's not really an appealing name is all, as stated.

Justice, phantom disproving the fake jewel thief.
Empress reclaiming/keeping throne.

Aswan liberation, the town/area deserves justice.
Hilla loses a battle, justice is served

Justice sounds nicer, and so does tempest.
They both fit in a sense.

Oh, also the Phantom was *gasp* a thief before he fell in love with Aria, the Empress at the time, and became a Hero to fight for her essentially.
So all of them are, yes, RENEGADES.
The Phantom and Empress point is a rather bullpomegranate one. The only one that's vaguely valid is Aswan.

Now that you mention it, Justice does kinda fit.
Still, i prefer Renegades in regards to GMS since we have Jett too.

I'm not really sure on the name Tempest, simply because i keep thinking "Weather" when i read it. Until we know what else is in the update though there is really no point speculating on it. It could fit really well.. or it might not.

I always thought that Empress equipment were kinda given away during the anniversary event for a reason, I believe in a new armor set to come.

If they are gonna have a 5th job, I hope they'll make it a tad easier to acquire equipment when we get up to that level.

If you have more than 4 in anything other than your main stat, you're doing it wrong.

That reminds me, I wonder if they'll increase stat cap or even increase the amount of total stats obtained?, since the current cap is 999 with 19 AP extra at 200 and secondary stats are no longer required with the exception of Empress Equips. This would probably mean our damage formulas would most likely be re-done with the additional amount of stats.

I focus on the part that says "the tempest is coming." Big Bang was a massive earthquake, essentially. This could be the mother of all storms conjured by the Black Mage.

First, you have the Big Bang that changed the maple world physically. This caused mass Chaos and spawned the Resistance. Then from out of the chaos, the Alliance was formed and then rose to prominence. Now the Black Mage has been gathering his forces and need to strike hard. The Tempest is going to be that strike.

He wasn't so much a thief as a thief with ethics, as well as a showoff. The story dictates he stole what he wanted, because he could.
Not because he needed to. Not so much a renegade, more of a robin hood.

Renegades more so refers to maplers in general as I see it.

And again, I didn't say renegades didn't have some fit to it, just not a ring to it like justice.
Read the whole statement instead of picking areas to argue against.

Now im curious as to what you changed, guessing it has to do with the patch note thread.

The only thing that leaves me curious is, all the hero's spell out maple, and the black mage does these godlike catastrophic nature obliteration, what happens when the "M.A.P.L.E" story is finally told, and all the hero's come back? Will they rename the game to..I don't know, Sonoma Story? LOL

I think I'll quit after I kill the black mage a few times, if it ever gets released.
I honestly feel that way, even if my gear is incomplete.

I've never really thought about what would happen when he's beaten in depth, but I just feel it's the right thing to do.

I hope they make him insane, 30 person expedition, all of the heroes required, and so on.
I hope it's a maze within a maze that requires perfect coordination.

I think I'll quit after I kill the black mage a few times, if it ever gets released.

Hey I'd play and dominate khaini all over again, that alone is fun, but winnie is COMPLETELY against it. And ya know, me respecting her authority and totally not being whipped have to respect that..

I imagine you have to seal him again, I'm hoping they'll consider taking some elements from other 2d games such as mario, megaman, or even metal gear slug. As long as I get the one and only badge in my server, ok, I'll give up my equips.

The main problem I see with MS nowadays is Nexon's current policy of sacrificing what is best for the game for what is best for the business.

This can be seen in many ways, like them making the game easier and easier over time in order to make the content available to a wider ranges of customers, like them developing content which heavily rellies on NX to boost their profit, or by releasing "fresh content" which isn't more than a rehash of already existant elements in game just to save money. Nexon isn't updating Maple to actually enhance it's gameplay but in order to increase their income. While that's perfectly understandable because Nexon is a company and MapleStory is their business, I wish they would change their strategy and focus over quantity of players instead of what they consider quility players (the ones that can spend thousands) like Riot games and LoL.

And so, I fear this 5th job wont be any different. I'm afraid it will be nothing more than a fake upgrade to every job by recyling already existant elements used by other jobs which the other ones don't already have. They will just try to appease everyone's little wishes by giving them things they want but don't really need, sacrificing the complexity of each job even more (IE: Marksmen complaining they couldn't boss so they give them sextuple strafe, them BM complaining they can't train so they get super inferno).

It would take a complete turn around Nexon's current vision of MS for them to actually take a risk and do something to the game that's actually innovative. For example, adding an element like dodging and implementing it through the whole game and making it even necessary to beat some bosses. (MY GOD MS is the only sidescroller ever that doesn't yse dodging. You gotta tank or die)
