KMST 1.2.435 - Luminous
Arrol Wrote:This reminds me too much of Metroid Prime 2 AND 3.
I was thinking that too. Still a pretty cool concept.

Nanorisk Wrote:Is this class based off of Helel/Lucifer?

Angels and Demons.....all that's left now is God. Hm, nah....that's just too ridiculous for Maplestory.........Right?
God = Pirate Hero? Rolleyes

I must be the only one who doesnt like the Luminous animations...far to flashy for my liking. I miss the days when you could actually see your own character and the monster you were attacking...

PeePeeAyeDeeKay Wrote:Damm, exactly how I thought it would be when I saw the up and down arrows on that skill.

Would you happen to know how many degrees that skill can move around? 45?90,180,360?

I have no idea, I thought it was 180, from the left of the character to the right, but, I'm not sure anymore, since that would look pretty weird.

This is the Void Pressure second job skill, you can move the ball left and right with arrow keys.

Also, another 2nd Job skill, Bless of Darkness, gives you these counter things as long as you don't get hit, up to a max of three, which increase your damage. Basically, it makes it so the less you get hit, the more damage you do. (It's really just a magic attack buff, I think, I have no idea what the percentages are, but still, love the concept.)

Nexon doesn't love Pirates enough, silly.

Just when you think they've run out of ideas...they do something crazy like this. I love the whole balance of power where you're forced to switch. This class is just...oh god. In fact it looks like Maple Jesus to be honest.

This character does not seem to excel at being a botter, lol.

Too many fourth jobbers now, lawdy. inb4 Mastery Book inflation.

Moving hit boxes. :| What was Nexon on when they were making this job? +_+

Did... something to get rid of all the Darkness in the UI. I'm hoping because I was spamming light skills, otherwise I have no idea what happened.

Sunfire Buff activates, Shining Rod glows blue.

HighOnMushrooms Wrote:To play this class correctly, you will need to switch between using dark skills and light skills. If you use too many of one, the other side's attacks will get stronger and the one your are using will get weaker. That means if you want to do the most damage, you can't spam one attack.

In this SS, the guy has been using a lot of Dark skills so the game is telling him to use Light skills.

Know what this reminds me of? Moonkins from WoW with the Eclipse mechanic. Dohoho.

"The Eclipse mechanic is now available to all Druids who have specced into Balance, and is active while the Druid is in caster or Moonkin forms. Casting Wrath will cause the Druid to gain 13 Lunar Energy; casting Starfire will cause the Druid to gain 20 Solar Energy. Casting Starsurge will give 15 Lunar or Solar Energy, depending on which the Druid has more of. When cast while an Eclipse buff is active, Starsurge will always cause the bar to move toward zero. The spell will trigger one of two buffs when Lunar Energy or Solar Energy has reached 100. Eclipse (Solar) or Eclipse (Lunar) will stay active until Wrath or Starfire has been cast enough to move the pointer back to zero.

The Eclipse procced by Wrath is called Lunar Eclipse, whereas Starfire procs Solar Eclipse."

Wheeeee.

Still not enticed to come back, even though it seems like they did a good job on the last Legend.

Aren't those two of Luminous's skillnames in beginner?
I smell something fishy...

After they made Mihile a playable character, I thought that after they were done with all the instructors, that Cygnus would personally lead the battle against the Black Mage and be the one overpowered class to rule them all, as a Magician, with Fire, Wind, Dark, Light, and Lightning skills.

.....

Well, I got Magician, Dark, and Light right.

He does seem to be lacking in single target damage though. All of his attacks seem to be AoE attacks.

But, you know. In order to defeat the Black Mage, you're going to need a full expedition of people who can hit the damage cap with normal non-crit attacks, over 50000 HP before Hyper Body, and lots and lots of Defense ignore.

That's pretty much what I've been thinking about this class since they released the Inkwell's Diary about it. ^^

I had almost no doubt it would be something like that.

Also, the two beginner skills are Sunfire (Light) and Eclipse (Dark).
