Anyone get/getting Mario Tennis Open?
I got it yesterday and im kinda on the fence with liking it. I guess it would be ok in short bursts but it feels designed entirely around smacking the different power shots back at each other till one of you does an impossible one the other cant hit.

I couldnt wait to get it when it was announced. Then they said it would have no RPG mode in it like the other handled games. I lost all interest in it after that. Mario Tennis on the GBC was just awesome.

Mario Tennis on the GBC was just awesome. As was the GBA one. I'd hope the person who decided "Mii costumes" are an adequate replacement for "Actual single player content complete with RPG customisation and story mode" gets a pay cut.

I liked the "RPG Elements" in the Tennis / Golf games. Rather disappointed they more or less got rid of it.

Alright, so I finally bought a 3DS, what games would you guys suggest? I owned a DS previously and i usually played main-franchise titles (Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Kirby, etc...) Any of them worth it at this point to buy? Im thinkin of Super Mario 3d Land and Sonic Generations 3DS, but i'd like your opinions

I loved Ocarina of Time 3D, and it's a great pick up especially if you haven't played Master Quest before, but even if you have its still a good buy to pick up and play through. If you're interested in 3rd party titles Resident Evil: Revelations is a great game, and Dead or Alive: Dimensions is a pretty solid fighter. If you like JRPGs then Devil Survivor Overclock is a pretty cool title, and if you haven't already played the PS2 version Tales of the Abyss 3D is good game too. That's about all the titles I can think of from the top of my head right now.

Miyamoto speaks, we listen.
Shigeru Miyamoto Wrote:I really feel like I'm satisfied with the 3DS hardware as it is. I feel like it's the best for this generation. What we're thinking about right now is probably going to be for a future generation of handheld Maybe the holdouts should just buy one. Though I would say there is no way they will not do a 3DS redesign. Shigeru Miyamoto Wrote:We haven't quite decided yet, whether we're going to do A Link to the Past, because there's also the possibility of doing a remake of Majora's Mask. This is something we've certainly been talking about and doing a little bit of experimenting with, to figure out which way we're going to go. (Fans will have to wait) just a little while longer (to hear a decision). Uh, both please?

Oh man, LttP in 3D would be badass (assuming they kept it top-down so you can see all the heights of cliffs and pomegranate.) Giving it a visual restyling to look like Minish Cap would also be nice buy doubtful.
Also kind of don't want if they charged full price because it's like 5 hour game.

>LTTP is a game that takes 5 hours.
Right, because using a time frame that could only be possible if you memorised absolutely everything in the entire game is completely fair and realistic. For arguments sake, the average nintendo channel playtime of the game is over 11 hours, and the majority of those certainly haven't finished the game.

I picked up my 3DS today and checked out the eShop for the first time in a long while. I saw that they had a few new game demos in - one of them being the new Spiderman game to go along with the movie. I didn't play very much of it to get an opinion, but from what little I played, the combat reminded me a lot of the Batman : Arkham Asylum/City games. Of course, I never really got a good chance to play those Batman games, but from what I've watched and the very laggy playthrough of Arkham Asylum on my PC, it feels very similar. Perhaps this might make this new Spiderman game good? Maybe not the 3DS version, but the major console versions might be pretty good.

Another Nintendo direct? Great, we can have no 3DS games to talk about for a 4th conference!
