Jesus Fucking Christ, i'm really starting to think that every little piece of story that is related to the Black Mage HAS to come through another job's storyline; that thing is more likely a recoloured and redesigned Demon Slayer, it'd be absolutely awful if it was ANOTHER new class. :|

What if (and this is an optimistic thought about it) the person shown is a boss and the sword is one of the more significant drops you can get from him? That would be better than a new job and explain the reason for the weapon evolving... though that is with my thoughts being fully optimistic.
