Guild Wars 2

Saw a sign in the store I work at saying Guild Wars: June 28. Can anyone confirm? Also, anyone know the system requirements for guild wars 2? I have an i5 processor (2.27 ghz), 4 gigs of ram, and an Intel HD graphics card.

Me and my friend both finally got to play for the first time, although I wish that stress test lasted as long as the last beta thing, sucks only being able to have play for only 6 hours (we were an hour late). But from what we did play, we both loved it. I'm still trying to create a comfortable keyboard setup, but what I have so far is pretty good. Why weren't we able to create Asura or Sylvari? I wanted my first main character to be an Asair Engineer, but I guess I won't be able to do that until the game actually opens up for real, so I'm using a temporary character--a Charr Guardian, while my friend went with a Charr Warrior.

I absolutely love the dynamic events and how the game feels like a mix of a typical PC MMORPG and a full-fledged open-world, open combat, anything-can-happen console game.

Well, they actually aren't finished with the Aura and Sylvari, lol.

I made a new character for 80% of the test and then went back to my first character. We wandered around Snowden Drifts [Norn's 15~25 area], but my lvl 18 and 20 friends starting instantly dying once we reached the lvl 23+ hearts. One of the Gold Hearts is a shooting range with these huge crossbows. My gf got stuck in one during the last minutes of the test, lole.

.... I'm happy I got to see some Kodans. o(^▽^)o

Next BWE, definitely try out the Engineer. It'll take a while to unlock a decent amount of skill points to see their real potential, but they're a very quirky class.

Also, remember the reason we were allowed to play for 7 hours or so ― hardware tests!

• Did any of you guys get put into overflow servers?
  
• How many of you guys got stuck at 95%?
  
• Lag spikes?
  
• etc, etc kind of hard to tell when a lot of NA people were probably at work/school for most of it.

We were allowed to use our previous BWE characters for this test because they were using the same dev build. We don't know for sure if they'll open up Asura/Sylvari for next BWE, but I don't think they will. It's easier for them to work out the kinks in 3 starting areas instead of 5.

I guess it'll depend on when the game is released if they want to let us try Asura/Sylvari. :3

I'm getting a new laptop for this game . Can't wait for it to be released. I'm going after that Asus G74 that seems to get a ton of great reviews.

I really doubt I'll have enough time to become the super hardcore, top of everything, player I tried to be in WoW and DNest because Nuke school is no joke, but I'll try the best I can.

That would explain it then. Ah well, I do like the Charr second-best to Asura.

I only experienced minor lag spikes, and that was still very uncommon. However, me and my friend both got the 95% loading thing when we tried to do an instance that was part of our main story quest. We tried like 3 times, but it did it every time. So I reported that.

Also, maybe I'm just dumb, but how the hell do you work the turrets/cannons/etc.? I jumped on them a number of times because I really wanted to try them out, but I could never get them to work. Every time I thought I got it to shoot, it'd always say "Out of range", even if the target circle was green.

Seems like a lot of fun and no monthly fee makes me seriously consider it.
Will buy later on, in a couple of months, hopefully during release... Diablo+new computer+gotta pay college semester= a really really poor me.

Still a chance for a BWE this weekend!

Forgot to post it started! I think an hour and a bit earlier than planned as well.

FYI, completely new people will not be able to play on the original 48 servers. I've moved to Astralarium now.

Got to fight the Shadow Behemoth (Lv17 Meta event boss in Queensdale). Currently doing some stuff in the Plains of Ashford so I'm a high enough level for Kessex Hills and the personal story. I like most of the new things in the update, too.

Me and my friend who got the game were really enjoying the beta weekend so far. Tried out a new build, we are getting better at controlling our individual characters. But after they brought the game down for a few seconds to apply a new patch just about 15 minutes ago, the game has been INCREDIBLY laggy for us. And I have a really good computer, so it's not our computers or the internet connection. It's awful, just a single attack is delayed by about 5-6 seconds, so until this is fixed, I'm sadly gonna have to stop playing.

Try again, SuperNerd! We've gotten at least 2 more new builds since then. I've been told that the new area being extremely laggy even on the lowest settings.

Got 2 levels from crafting for almost an hour, lole. Gunna try Catacombs later when waifu gets her elite skills. Not touching personal story stuff, but I think the only area left for me to 100% is Gendarran Fields.

I'm still alone, but I'm planning on staying alone until the game comes out so I don't get pestered >_<.

Managed to try out every single class with most of the weapon sets except for Ranger, since I already did play that the most during the first beta. I think I have to play it again for a comparison...it's either going to be Longbow or Shortbow Ranger or Shortbow Thief. Got up to level 10 on most of my characters (Necromancer....level 3. Scythe animation doesn't cut it; I have to actively swing the scythe to get mah fetish. I was feeling kind of bored just laying traps) while doing the personal storylines. Just seeing which storyline is the best (human). I think it's definitely Street Rat, followed closely by Noble.

One more day X_X.
