One of the few Disney movies -- no, movies period -- that I've wanted to see from the instant the trailer began. pomegranate LOOKS AWESOME.

Having a shenanigans thread has no bearing on someone posting a legitimate thread about it.
It's only a duplicate thread if it were posted in another serious area, and then it'd just be moved here since this is the appropriate place for it.
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.

Seeing it open with an arcade and 8 bit sound effects did it for me.
Then I saw Bowser, Eggman, M.Bison and Zangief. IN THE SAME ROOM.
Haven't been this excited about a movie since Brave.

I do really want to see this movie, though I'd be a lot more excited if it was coming from Pixar.
Granted John Lasseter is the big boss of both studios so who knows, it might be just as awesome as if the Pixar guys did it.

I'm gonna watch it. I just hope they add in some good characters.
Just please don't turn this into a discussion about if Zangief is trully a good or a bad guy. DOESN'T FREAKING MATTER.
Oh and I see it coming, Wreck it Ralph for the next SSB game.

Saw it this morning, and loved it! I was worried that the video-game theme in Disney's (not Pixar's) hands might go awry, but my fears were unfounded. It was awesome! It really feels like the movie was made by people who love and play games themselves - there were so many shout-outs I can't even begin to try to name them all.
Also highly recommend that you get to the theatre early enough to see the animated short, Paperman. It's very well-done!
To anyone who has seen The Iron Giant, I saw a lot of parallels in this movie (innately "bad" character wanting to be good.) In particular, the scene where Ralph dives into the diet-cola-mentos mountain thing I felt was an homage to the scene in The Iron Giant where the giant sacrifices himself to save the town. Seeing as how John Lasseter and Brad Bird are homies I'm not really surprised, but it made me want to watch The Iron Giant again, haha.
One thing that bugged me as I was thinking about the movie on the way home - did they ever explain how Turbo got into Sugar Rush in the first place? Or are we just supposed to assume he somehow escaped the dreaded fate of getting unplugged and hid somewhere until Sugar Rush was introduced into the arcade?
