Patch 1.0.3 looks to be everything that needed to be done to fix the game. I'll probably start to play again, even though I managed to sell all my gold. I actually made my money back, which is nice. I'm also making around 350k/hr farming urns in act one right now. :o

How much "Gold Find" do you have? I read you need like 100% or higher GF to get that much.
I'm assuming you're farming Royal Crypts.

216% with like 17% move speed. And yeah, it's the Royal Crypts.

Unfortunately, it doesn't fix the problem of Elites being far far more powerful than bosses are -_-

That was the whole point of the game this time around. They want the champs/elites to give the most loot, and to be the biggest challenge to get that loot. It's not going to change because a handful of people think that act bosses should be the end-all be-all of farming and difficulty.

That's intended gameplay, not a problem.

I'm gonna try to go as far as I can before this patch. Hopefully they don't nerf it too much.
Found this on act 3.

To be honest, I'm completely fine with the Elites being more difficult. The original problem was that they were just TOO difficult with the current scaling of everything past Act I on Inferno.
Oh, and I've made $150 selling gold already. Feelsgoodman.jpg.
edit: @ Above, I think you underpriced that by a few hundred thousand. >_<

I'm just stating facts. Hit 89k range, 176k with SS. Got my Wizard to Nightmare as well and I LOVE Archon!! I'm not happy with the Inferno nerf at all. They're starting to make the game more accessible and removing the challenge behind it. I accepted the amount of times I died in Act 2-3-4 in Inferno to make to Diablo and learned how I had to handle myself in those acts. This isn't fair to the players who actually took this difficulty setting head on without whining about it. Inferno co-op is pretty much Hell mode all over again with 4 players. They're also considering making item drops much more frequently.
@ Above, the Elites are suppose to be extremely hard, that's the point of Inferno. The bosses are merely checkpoints that grant you rights to the next act. They're simply there for the challenge, scenery and achievement.

The major problem with co-op in Inferno is there is almost no advantage for a melee character. There's no point in being able to DPS monsters faster when the tank can't tank anymore.
I was soloing Belial one time and he hit me for nearly 40k randomly in one attack when every attack normally hit for ~25k. I have 68% Defense, 65% Resists, 19% Melee Reduction, and 36k HP. This has only happened once. With 4 people in the game, I would be OHKOed nearly every time, when I can easily solo it. I know my stats are pomegranate, but that still doesn't justify not rewarding players for co-oping.

I'm too platypus for that pomegranate lol.
Nah don't, unless you pick a Wizard. The sheer fact Blizzard is not responsible in any way to help you (read: rez your dead character) for you choosing to make a Hardcore character means obviously anything and EVERYTHING will conspire to get you killed. Murphy's Law in overdrive, and that is just terrible.

They're not increasing drops per say, but are increasing the quality of the drops. They're making 1 less guaranteed rare from bosses, and 1 more guaranteed rare for elites/champs to keep people killing those packs instead of stopping at the bosses. It'll be nice that i have a slim chance of finding really nice gear in act 1 of inferno, instead of having to brave act 2 all the time. And when i do brave act 2, it has a higher chance of dropping good stuff as well.
Also, its not like co-op is guaranteed easy mode. The monsters still have scaling HP, which will make the fights longer for sure. They may not have increased damage against the players but a longer fight has a higher possibility of error and death.
I wish commodities would come back, though.

Still better than making monsters hit harder as well. At least the consolation is that you're bound to get buffs/support from your allies.
And yes I'd like that too, I have near 400 essences just sitting in my stash. Staring at me, mocking me. Just begging to be sold for some gold.

Oh look, a DEMON HUNTER is complaining about the nerf. Someone doesn't want to lose access to his millions of gold for being OP.

I'm guessing you're stuck in act 1? The Inferno nerf doesn't affect my single player play, but it makes multiplayer less rewarding since I can just slay everything for my group. You'reSOcool. I make my gold from doing boss runs, mainly act 2, with my friend who plays monk.
@Zenkat have you considered movement speed? I was talking with some of the barbarians I met online and most of them really do like the idea of having good movement speed, but unfortunately barbs are really gear oriented. We still have more class tweaks to see along the road so who knows. The reason I've been able to survive is the movement speed I have stacked from gear instead of DPS.

Funny how you're quick to forget that I beat A1. You even quoted my picture :|
Also the nerf does affect single player as they're nerfing the overall damage and HP of the mobs in A2+.
All I'm saying is majority of people who dislike the incoming nerfs are Wizards and Demon Hunters, because they have the easiest time soloing through A2/3/4 Inferno and they don't want their mass gold income to bomb.

It's probably because I'm bad/ have bad gear, but I haven't noticed an extreme ease in solo as wizard at specific places. I die too much.
I should probably play other classes and see how difficult it is in comparison.

Don't worry, I'm bad on my Wizard as well, because I keep running into melee range by mistake lol.

ANYWHO after countless negativity over a simple discussion, I still have Whimsyshire to farm in as well. The drops there rival that of act 4. They haven't announced any nerfs to Whimsyshire. Although, the mobs already hit truckloads in single player so I doubt anything they'd do there could possibly change OHKO from anything.

Casual will be casual. Finished Normal mode, was nice to have seen the whole story for the game. Now Nightmare mode awaits... so I go spend about 25k worth of gold to grab some easy upgrades to some of my really outdated gear.
94% magic find on top of all this gear. Let's a-go, Nightmare mode!
