Diablo3 class thread
Reached level 21 on my monk, on my way to resurrect Kulle-Aid guy now. I'm dying a lot more now, but mostly just because i keep getting trapped and surrounded by elites and champions. When i'm not being massacred by those, i do really well.

I've got around 3 rares (equipped) right now with about 6 in my stash and some others that i salvaged. My favourite was my new Talon hand weapon which dropped from an elite. It's so awesome Big Grin

My hardest fight so far was against the Horadrim Construct (big golem guy when you get Kulle's head). I couldn't go near him due to my close range attacks or else i'd just get beaten to a pulp. So i played it smart and kited him around the arena leaving my Templar to fight him, when the templar used his charge and stun skill i closed the gap using my rush ability (can't remember it's name) and bursted him down before running away again. It was a really fun fight and it was immensely satisfying when i beat him Big Grin

I'm happy with this.

Thinking of getting my DH to 60 after my wizard beats act1 of inferno, but I've no idea of DH builds/how to play one. L>tips

Beat normal difficulty on my monk!
Loving nightmare so far because the drops are already looking better, and the fights in Act 1 are gonna be so much funner this time around.

Jesus those prowlers sold for 3.6mill? That's crazy. Those funds'll be really nice to get yourself some new gear.

Nightmare on my Wizard, check.

I would've kept those if I were you. It would make using a bow much better since it provides attack speed, which multiplies higher as you get more weapon attack and base stat. 3.6m Gold won't really get you much in gear.

In other news, close to 50k Damage on DH and started making a Wizard. They're pretty fun actually.

Stack armor and resistance and it'll become an easy act. You're a barb after all.

I like most of it. I'm not all that happy about more repair costs. Some elite packs just destroy me and take a lot of deaths to finish off (if i'm lucky). All that hard work for a pack with ridiculous affixes, and my reward is spending a ton of gold on repairs.

I LOVE the gem part. I said they should remove the gold cost for low level gems and they practically did. Now i can combine those massive stacks of squares i have into flawless finally. I wanna see how the AH prices go once commodities come back and 1.0.3 goes live. Will buying perfect squares still be cheaper? :O

i seem to recall that some of the more ridiculous combinations are being considered for elimination, but now i feel like theres a paragraph missing between addressing inferno and items.... probably because they have no way of telling whats ridiculous for certain builds/classes/people, aside from a general consensus that invincible minions suck.

with the damage nerfs youll probably be ok.

My main problem as ranged has always been stuff i can't outrun. If things can run up behind and hit me while i'm at full sprint away from them, i'm usually toasted quickly. I can only teleport once and heal once in any given amount of time, and my templar can only last so long as well. Extra Fast plus any sort movement limiter on my end is usually death (vortex, waller, jailer). Fun as hell if i manage to down them though. I usually insult their corpses when I'm done.

Topic Change!

Started up on my DH again last night (was 32). Worked my way thru NM, then had to buy a set of 40ish gear from the AH to continue as things started to get really tedious. Am now 49 and in Act 4 and my 40 gear is starting to show its weakness. Definitely have a harder time in DH than my Wiz. She's too squishy with no extra defense besides 'not getting hit' movement skills. Fighting Azmodan was hilarious. 2 times in a row i got greedy as he had a sliver of life and i would stand still and just pummel him with multishot. Except his slow-ass fireball came in and hit me for over 11k dmg each time, and i only have 13k max life. I just don't remember him doing that kind of damage in nightmare...

70% doesn't cut it, son. I still take 5k+ from everything Sad

@1.0.3 Patch

Quote:We’re removing the bonus monster damage per additional player in a coop game.

Thank god! Inferno strongly supported solo play.

Quote:we’re going to be lowering that wall by adjusting the damage and health of monsters in Inferno Act II, III and IV. We feel like Act I Inferno is in a pretty good place.

I think everyone saw this coming.

Quote:disallowing resurrection during boss fights

I know it's not true, but I kind of wanted to see this happen. It would strongly suggest people to stop being bad at boss fights. Hell, that's already pretty damn easy.

Quote:We’re currently leaning toward the first solution, to simply reduce the value on items

Not sure how I feel about this, because not only does it screw over 1h xbow DHs (Since they talked about lowering IAS), but I have a feeling that this will make A2 and beyond Inferno become a "Brick Wall" again lol.

Quote:The gem combine costs for Perfect Square and above will remain unchanged.

Kinda defeats the purpose still, because Inferno drops Flawless Square gems :|

For anyone who didn't catch the Reddit AMAA earlier today, someone put together a list of all the stuff that was talked about.

I'm not sure how soon 1.0.3 will hit. I probably won't be facing the anal raping that is Inferno Act 2+.

But hey cheaper gems, plus at least giving a chance to farm end-game gear on Hell III/IV and Inferno I should make Inferno mode be pretty bearable now. It just saddens/amuses me people are claiming these "nerfs" that will make Inferno no longer "hard mode". Everyone knows the REAL hard mode is Hardcore mode.

Indeed, I mean Kripps and crew are a bit disappointed about the nerfs, but they don't really care, because of HARDCORE!

I'm too platypus for that pomegranate lol.

I finally hit 60 on my wizard!

The game is very entertaining. My only major complaint is that it's repetitive beating the same game over and over. I do like how the objective locations are changed for some quests, though. I hope pvp's eventual release will give me something more to do.

Kiting feels very satisfying and can be challening, but what makes me rage is mobs with ridiculous property combinations like vortex, more health, magma chains, and jailer. It feels pretty much impossible to counter (as a wizard).

On act 3 hell mode. I enjoy playing with friends from time to time, but sometimes it's not bearable. I think blizzard should have decreased the health scaling of mobs with more players, rather than their damage. I'll die in 1-2 hits regardless of the nerfs they'll bring in (probably).

I can see myself playing this for a good while. LoL gets very tiring sometimes and I'll usually come to d3 when I can't handle it. Battletag: Spiegelmann#1589
