Double IP Bonus this weekend

Thanks to you, our Facebook page has grown in leaps and bounds, leading up to this month’s count of over 3 million! When we hit the 1 million landmark, we celebrated with a celebratory art wallpaper, and planned to deliver another surprise when we hit 2 million fans. Then unforeseen circumstances entered the picture. And by “unforeseen circumstances,” we mean “two culprits in the office dropped the ball.”

We kept the fans waiting and we hate doing that. Thankfully, the rest of the team came up with a dignified and professional way to dissuade the guilty parties from making the same mistake again. It went a little something like this:

We relent! We love you, so we’re going to celebrate our latest milestone by giving everyone out there tons of LoL goodness.

This weekend from Friday, June 1st at 7pm PST, until Monday, June 4th at 7am PST, all League of Legends games in NA, EUNE and EUW will gain an increased IP bonus, matching the number of people who love us on Facebook as soon as the weekend kicks off! Since we have 3.4 million right now, that’s currently a 34% increase! Yes, this will work in conjunction with any IP and XP boosts you currently have on your accounts, too.

Encourage your friends to “Like” us on Facebook and raise that percentage even higher!

Thanks for the words of wisdom. It pulled me back from coming back. However I'm utterly perplexed at how unfortunate my luck is. I've had like three separate occasions so far that completely desperately tried to persuade me to come back to League of Legends, and none of these events happened the past year while I was still playing the game.

If the next nature female champion happens to be wielding a scythe, I'm going to head-desk the wall and might actually film it and post it on Southperry.

When we originally talked about a Facebook reward, we’d been envisioning something big. Ultimately, that vision couldn’t work – but we still wanted to give you something cool.

Clearly a 34% IP boost and a funny GIF wasn’t cool. We’re going to up the boost to 100% for the weekend.

We’re also disappointed in our communication on this topic, and we’re going to do better in the future.

So that will explain why Tamat is getting blown up on the forums lol.

4x IP? The boost stacks with the weekend event. The event is +100% IP, aka 2x IP, and if I'm correct, the IP Boost is +100% as well.
Unless Riot is pulling a Nexon and is making multiplicative items be additive instead...

I believe that if you get a Win IP bonus with a Day IP bonus you get 3x bonus and not 4x.

So im basing myself on that.

Yeah I'm pretty sure (not positive but pretty sure) that they had some type of new map or mode for us to play on when we hit 2m facebook likes.
