Diablo3 class thread

For every additional player in Inferno, monsters gain 110% more HP and 15% more damage.

Installed D3 on the Mac partition of my laptop instead of Windows. It runs way smoother surprisingly, and it means I no longer have to use Windows (unless I want to log in on MapleStory, which I haven't been doing much lately anyway). Only problem is I'm not able to use any skills while holding down shift and click, so if I have Mantra of Healing on 3, if I'm holding shift and click and I hit 3 nothing happens. It's killed me way too many times >_< Wish I knew how to fix it, but I've got no idea where to start.

Inferno mode is very hard. :|

Am a squishy wizard, so I would gladly welcome a melee to come take attention off of me in exchange for them having a bit more hp/damage. Main issue soloing is the loneliness part anyway(though I don't talk much with others s: ), it's more fun OMGWTFing at elite combos with friends, too. :B

A patch has just been released.
Fixing some bugs and changing some Monk stuff.

I'm pretty much done with this game. It's absolutely horrible. Before you come in and say I'm bad at this game for bitching about Inferno, I'm going to counter with Blizzard has no idea how to run this game.

The "spikiness" of Inferno mobs? There's no "spikiness", it's flat out you die if you get hit in any level past Act I. The way resistances are in this game makes it completely pointless for me to build them. If you can't kite mobs, you die. Period. Even if you can kite them, they'll just use some stupid affix to come up and rape your pomegranate.

I'm just going to take this 4.5m gold and sell it somewhere to try to get back my $60 and never really have to look back. Who knows, maybe a few months down the road this game will be playable.

Haha, the patch has made the game unplayable. GG.

(Upon logging in it closes the client to apply the patch... then just goes back to the 'Play' screen. You press play, log back in and it sends you back to the play screen again, it's an endless cycle, the patch doesn't actually apply)

There're a couple of barbs streaming who are able to stroll through inferno act 3/4 (i.e. not skipping any champs/elites). And people's been past hell mode on hardcore and farming act 1/2 inferno for a while...

Kripp is a bad example to use, because he used A4 Inferno gear to solo past A2 and A3.

You pretty much finished the game in less than 3 weeks, which is really fast. I'm still taking it easy and am a couple levels away from unlocking Nightmare. Also, no game is perfect that early at launch. Let Blizzard make the changes needed to make Inferno challenging, and not just a game of hot potato, or a more modern example: rocket tag gameplay. Or if you want another example: I Wanna Be The Guy difficulty. I know I haven't touched Inferno yet, but Inferno from what I know and read is "Nightmare Mode" from Doom, which was MEANT to be very unfair, but eventually people were able to beat Nightmare Mode, and even do speed runs of it.

In a few months, Inferno will either get toned down, or Blizzard will create gear that'll make Inferno bearable.

And besides, have you played Diablo 2? Hell Mode in that game (to this one's Inferno) has you dying in a few hits or even in an instant (due to huge resist penalties that'd make even a fireball take over 1/2 your life away as you start Hell), and it was only with newer gear was it manageable or even turned trivial. I still remembered Hell Cow Levels. God help me if I ever saw a MSLE cow, I'd just run away screaming like a little girl seeing those champions. God help you if the champion is immune to a certain element (giant middle finger to single-element Sorcs) or physical immune (Barbarians cry at the sight of these).

Also, at least you don't drop ALL your gold or lose EXP when you die, or have to corpse run to your body just to recover all your gear (unless you want to just remake the game and grab your body back at town). Sure made gold useless to hoard, and make dying very painful.

Yes I admit I'm a Blizzard fan, but honestly Inferno is nonetheless supposed to be VERY HARD mode. It was either that or have people leave the game because Inferno was TOO easy and complain Blizzard is catering to the casuals. <_<

Any other D2 fans remember THESE?
Immune to Cold
Immune to Fire
Immune to Lightning
Immune to Magic (These creatures won't suffer any damage when attacked with skills that deal magic damage)
Immune to Poison
Immune to Physical (These creatures won't suffer any damage when attacked with melee or ranged physical damage)

Oh the nightmares.

Every idiot expects Inferno to be beatable with whatever pomegranate they have coming from Hell, when they obviously don't have good enough gear. It's designed that you cannot beat it without getting better gear. Whether you auction house that gear or farm it is up to you. Wizards and Demon Hunters soloing was an unforeseen abuse. If anyone has ever played Diablo 2, you needed to have very specific builds with all your stats pushed into vit and good gear to be able to go through hell. The only characters capable of soloing Hell untwinked were a Hammerdin and Skelemancer. Basically all high-end elemental builds required Infinity to deal with Hell because of the high amount of resistances. Ber Mal Ber Ist. Try farming that in two weeks untwinked. Is it easy? No. Is it doable? Of course. Did you have to end up trading for a lot of pomegranate instead of farming? Likely. I played Diablo 2X for 4 years and I can count the number of HR I've personally found on one hand. I spent nights on end farming Andarial, Mephisto to get good enough gear to trade for stuff I needed.

They can still solo Inferno even with the fixes / changes, they just have to be more cautious.

Hammerdin was just LOL. Such a faceroll spec. I saw my cousin play one; every bucking thing died wherever he moved.

And INFNITY runeword? When the hell did THIS broken rune combo emerged?

You have something against buying gear in the auction house? The point is it can be done and his gears aren't even THAT expensive. My achievement thingy says I picked up 2mil gold already and I only have about 80hours clocked. He plays way more than I do.

You realize he farmed A4 Inferno for 4 or 5 days with his "Team NoLife" companions, right?

When you need A4 Inferno gear to "Beat" A2 and A3 Inferno, you know there's a problem.
