No no no. Many of Borderlands ideas (such as totally random gear) came from Diablo.



Dunno. I was chugging HP potions a ton and dying horribly late Act I to early Act II until I obtained better gear by mid Act II, mostly of the STR/VIT/Health Globe recovery variety, then I was steamrolling everything without a care in the world about my HP. As many Barbarian players here are discussing though, at the higher difficulties gonna need more survivability related abilities. I know Dark Link/Josh is using a shield, meaning he can't go all out with 2 weapons.

Yeah I just killed Skeleton King, got the game today, so I have no idea what's coming for me. I'm using a shield right now... HP does diminish rather quickly.

I love how "Leather Hat" Looks different on every class. Trololo.

Word of warning for everyone

Massive amounts of Battle.net accounts are getting hacked and the current speculation / rumor is it involves joining public games. This allows hackers to hijack your account and bypass the Authenticator system, thus giving them free reign on your entire D3 account.

Thank god I haven't joined a single public game. Only soloing so far, and inviting people I know instead of random strangers.

I'm not even on inferno. LOL I'm just about to kill Azmo on hell. Then act 4....ugh. I've been soloing almost this entire time, so you can imagine how difficult things can be sometimes.

Lmao. My friend and I just managed to beat the butcher on Inferno. Good luck with that alone. You have to beat him in 2 minutes or he lights up the entire arena. LOL

Yes, Inferno rapes Barbs tenfold, unless they're geared up the ass.
As far as I know, Wizard is the ONLY class to have fully solo'd Inferno. There's a few Monks on Act 3, and a ton of Barbs / WDs / DHs on Act 2.

Also, I believe the "Hard Enrage" is 5 minutes, because there's an achieve for killing him in under 2.

It's funny how Butcher is the ONLY boss in Inferno with an "Enrage" timer. No other boss, that I know of, has one.

Everyone is getting raped in Act II. It's actually disappointing that it's not even hard for the rights reasons. Mobs just dealing x10 damage from the last mode doesn't make pomegranate hard, it makes it impossible.

I have a couple friends who have level 60 Barbs. They're quitting their Barbs and rerolling to Wizards, because of how godlike they are due to their mechanics. It's highly disappointing when my favorite class becomes a fail "Tank" and must resort to endless kiting just to survive Late Hell and all of Inferno. :/

I'm still not even finished with Act 1 on normal, so for now I'm just running into mobs with Frost Nova and Arcane Orb or Lightning. I guess I'll have to change my strategy once enemies get completely ridiculous.

an exploit was discovered by duplicating a session ID
basically, if you join a public game with people, they can view your session ID and spoof it to login as you without need for a password or email or anyting
if you play with people, try not to play in public games bro, only with people you know

Course it nerfs the Monk "Godmode" tactic, but nothing on the "Wizard" Shield cheesing lol.

Man, I was on the fence about getting this game, even though I was a big Diablo II player back in the day. We'd play for hours on end each night when we had free time. But I was still afraid this game wouldn't live up to that... well I broke down and bought it anyways and convinced a friend to get it too. So far it's been fantastic. I love the game. We're still in Act 1; I'm a level 16 Demon Hunter and he's a level 16 Monk.

First person, sci-fi FPS is somewhat similar to Borderlands...? I don't catch your drift... I mean besides the part that you level up and have skills, that's about it... I mean... Maple is like Diablo guys! Haha not trying to troll or anything I see what your friend is saying

This was months ago, also if you look at borderlands and diablo they share quite a bit, like system of drops, skills, quest oriented(maple is not) way you share drops(again not really maple other than some people who boss together) still go into "different dungeons" for new areas and quests. Guess some people dont see it like me.
And i know Borderlands is like diablo not the other way around, I just said it like that

Got to level 50 and unlocked Hell mode! Figured out why I was dying so much, I thought the game was just naturally quite slow but it turns out I'd been playing at less than 10 frames per second. /facepalm

Also figured out the advanced tool tips thing and realised how useless Breath of Heaven is, so I'm using Seven Sided Strike now. IT LOOKS SO COOL!

Jon and I are getting our asses destroyed in the Halls of Agony. Owwwwww

Just unlocked the Nightmare version of the Secret Level! Difficulty and Loots are on par with Hell Act 1!

The game is obviously not very balanced right now, but it just came out; I'm sure they'll be working on making Barbs more tanky and addressing some of the other balance issues.

I've solo'd all the way up to this point... I'm at Diablo on hell mode. I...don't think I'm going to solo my way through this one.

I couldn't even solo my way through diablo in nightmare. Had to call Dark Link in to assist me. My tactics were sound but i just couldn't outrun him. He'd constantly teleport to me and smack me in the face. I think i'm gonna stick to the beginning of Hell for awhile and work on gear upgrades. Possibly make/buy some decent MF/gold gear (that still keeps my power level up) so i can finally get some wealth. I'm always out of gold, and have zero MF on my current gear setup.

My life is forfeit. ;_; Diablo was a huge god damn pain though, even with a 3 man group. Glad it's over with though.

I'm torn about the Auction House, it seems to make merchants and the blacksmith completely useless at least for the lower levels.
