Just upgraded from a 120DPS Handbow to a 300DPS Handbow. Hell went from impossibly hard to faceroll easy. I feel bad for the poor bastard that probably wanted to put it up for sale for 299999(9), and not 29999. But at the same time, I have 4k dps.

So there's been so much hype about this game that even Bacon wants to try it out. Unfortunately, I'm broke and don't fancy spending $60 on a game that I might not enjoy.

If anybody has a spare guest pass so I can try out the game, please give me a hollar. I would dearly appreciate it.

Took about 5-6 tries to kill final boss on Normal, level 31. Damn hard because I have very little HP and very little damage (~1.7k HP, 430 damage, or at least I feel so). Wand is a pathetic 40 DPS weapon so... oh well.

The final method that worked for me was Electrocute, Ray of Frost runed for max damage, Wave of Force runed for stun, Diamond Skin runed to Prism for arcane cost reduction, Frost Nova runed for reduced CD, and Ice Armour 1st rune. Passives were Prodigy, Astral Presence and Cold Blood, though I think I should change Prodigy for Evocation since I run more than I hit, despite having a theoretical maximum of 16 seconds of non-stop attacking (he hits me and gets frozen 2 seconds, Frost Nova 3 seconds, Diamond Skin 6 seconds, Wave of Force 2 seconds, Frost Nova 3 seconds, then run while waiting for all CD to finish). Imagine 4 Wizards... Doesn't even need so many disabling skills per person, or even only needing 3 disablers and 1 crazy DPSer.

Wizard is pretty op, my friend could tank and dps while freezing and slowing down time.

Which follower are you guys using as your main one? So far, I think Scoundrel is pretty powerful, due to him being able to shower enemies with speed crippling arrows on top of being able to Vanish and heal himself if things get rough. It also helps he tends to keep himself far away so he's usually not in any mortal danger. Lastly, his banter with my character is just funny to listen to.

Templar, if only his healing abilities had a smaller cooldown I would really enjoy him. Since he can't equip any actual armor other than a shield, I fear for his survivability upon the late game (aka beyond Normal difficulty). Personally, I don't see Enchantress's abilities as that zomg awesome, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

Also, MFW followers get x2.5 the benefit from stats. One single +26 VIT item more than doubled my Scoundrel's HP from ~560 to ~1200. One single DEX item doubled his current DEX.

I'm using the templar because well, i need someone that can tank even if it's limited how much he can tank the damage.
WD summons just fall off and even the gargantuan is starting to just get picked off .-.
I really wish i could build a CC-heavy WD with AOE damage, but i just feel they're lacking CC and they NEED to have spirit walk and soul harvest to get decent damage.

Starting to regret picking WD up as my first char to 60, but i'll get to 60 with it no matter what.

All about not having one amirite?

Let me know if anyone has a guest key to spare. I need to see if my pc can run this game without ridiculous amounts of lag.

Just made up this build and am gonna try it out on my WD, i'll try playing without soul harvest and use Vision Quest to spam high mana spells.

Anybody else got something to add? Just made it fast, using spirit barrage for 1v1 and dire bat for AOE.

Raph589; , i'll check in a second if i have one more but already gave out 2, and can't remember if i got 2 or 3 with my game.

Edit: Damnit.. The third one was a WoW guest pass.

I'm using Templar on my Barbarian. It's nice to have another tanky character who can stun and heal when need be.

How do you deal with his squishiness since he can't equip so much armor like the Barbarian? Do you just slap on the strongest shield you have, and load him up with STR and VIT boosting gear? Also, what's your preferred set up for just plain killing? I'm sure for parts where the enemies tend to be ranged attackers you use stuff like Ancient Spear very liberally.

Templar: Pretty much. STR + VIT gear + a strong Shield and he's good for the most part. I haven't had him die in NM yet.

As for "just plain killing", I don't use ranged skills. I have mostly stun / slowing effects on all my skills, plus Leap is godlike.

Before I got War Cry, I used to just Leap + Ground Stomp + Earthquake to victory against huge mobs.
"Cleave" with the "Rupture" rune is really nice as well.

This is my current setup at level 39

Interesting. My Templar has the exact same skill allocation. I guess he should be an acceptable follower then.

Also, Holy CRAP you can place 2 Defensive skills?? *brain asplodes* But hmm, why no Secondary skill then? None of them seem worth it? Not even the signature Whirlwind? Now that I look again, you have no skills that use Fury at all. Are you going to be planning to be at max Fury all the time in that case? You should have Berserker Rage, but it's not one of your passives. *confused*

That's the problem with Barbs. If you go full out damage, you get ripped apart in Nightmare and beyond. You have to, more or less, go moderately defensive to survive.
It's not any surprise why the Hell / Inferno clear Barbs are all "Full Defensive" with +Vit Gear / Gems and whatnot.

As for "No secondary skills", I did try out the Rend + Blood Lust combo and it worked for the most part, but only for solo from what I've noticed. When I tried that combo in a 3-4 man party last night, the Life Regen wasn't enough to out sustain the damage output from monsters, and I kept getting my ass handed due to no escape tools.
