Friends have been relentlessly harassing me to buy D3 so I caved and bought it. An hour to go on the download! Pretty excited, though I'm going to be left in the dust since I have been informed that HelloTony; is already level 37 and my characters do not even exist yet.

Managed to finish Act 1 on my Monk last night, Oh god this game, so good. The atmosphere, the fighting, all of it feels really smooth and good. Sound, music, all really nice. The bosses, oh man the bosses. I will be playing more tonight after work. So far this game is well worth it and I've only spent around 4 hours on it.

Game's fun as hell, but I keep lagging to hell ALL the time, causing me to die, a f'ucking lot. So annoying. Friend's been lagging, too, so we're going with 'server's fault'.
People on their forums are bitching about lag as well.
Anyway, I got to the Skeleton King this morning, I'll continue later.

Playing with a friend seemed really rushing, I almost didn't have time to choose my skills as I advanced through the first act. It's cool though since you can always change stuff around whenever. Playing wizard so far, for the choices I've had I really prefer Lightning over Magic Bolt because it's more flashy and I like my wizard in the middle of stuff. And the ball over the ray. I guess I'd have to change one of them for 1v1, but mob control is just so fun, specially when freezing everything on a 3 player game and spamming balls and lightning.
So far a very entertaining game even if I hadn't had time to sit on my computer for very long to play (parents visiting me in France so I'm travelling on weekends).

Btw. Just so EVERYONE knows.
ALWAYS HAVE ELECTIVE MODE ON, THERE IS NO REASON NOT TO AND IT IS RETARDED THAT IT IS NOT THE DEFAULT.
Also zero lag what so ever here(europe), maybe the american servers are having issues?

I was playing on the american server from France with a brazilian friend and some other guy from the USA and I had pretty much no lag.

I dunno, the skill categories are pretty well organized and I haven't had a need to use more than one skill in any category yet. Level 27 DH / Level 15 Wizard.

You shouldn't limit yourself though. I've been running Hungering Arrow and Entangling Shot since I unlocked both of them. Right now, I have Multishot and Cluster Arrow as well. I've had to switch skills on the fly in battle, and if you have Elective Mode off, you can't do that.

Elective Mode is godlike for Barbarians. Especially since some of our best skills are in the same category (Threatening Shout, Revenge, War Cry, etc).

I have Elective mode on, I just feel that having one skill from each category has been working out pretty well for me. I'm currently using Grenade, Impale, Shadow Power, Vault, Fan of Knives, and Cluster Arrow. Having more than one Hatred generator just feels redundant to me since I only use mine to boost my Hatred regen so that I can spam more Cluster Arrows and Impales.

Currently using something similar to this build on my lv35 Wizard: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/wi...YWc!YZcYZa
Cold blooded + Glass canon + Magic weapon make it so good.

So bought it for nothing...
I love to waste money.

Yeah, but I feel like a moron. It would've helped to buy new computer first then the game... lol
Now I'm -$60... oh, well. In two months I should have enough for a great one, maybe less if I get to "cash" some christmas/birthday gifts family owes me.

Needing an internet connection for a single player game is really shitty.
