Dear Maplers,

During the last maintenance, we removed many equipment, mesos, and other items that were illegally generated through a recent hack. This was done as a part of our ongoing efforts to take strong measures against the exploiters and to stabilize the game economy. (Read about our recent efforts here.)


Which actions were taken?

- Mesos gained through the sale of certain illicitly generated items have been deleted.
- Equipment generated through a hack have been deleted.
- Many other illicitly duplicated or generated items have been deleted.
- Players who used the hack to illegally generate or duplicate items and meso using said hack were permanently banned.


How does this affect the players?

- Illegally generated items were removed from the players inventory, storage, Free Market, and MTS.
- Illegally generated mesos were removed from the inventory, storage, Free Market, and MTS.


The removal and replacement of illicit items will apply to all players currently in possession of the items regardless of how they were obtained. We cannot refund players who may have purchased abnormal items with meso or through the MTS. We fully understand the possibility of legitimate players affected by this issue and we made a very hard decision to keep a strong stance against any action that may endanger the game for all our players. We truly appreciate your support to keeping the game healthy.

Someone with common sense would view duped as "Illegally Generated" goods (Because they are)... But then again this is nexon we are talking about so meh.

Few days and/or weeks later... some items are missed, then duped ---> nothing changes.

Yeaaa....No they didn't.

They barely removed items from this hack. Unless they plan on systematically eliminating more and more every SC, its not that great of an effort.

Not unless they Banned the seller with the NX still on the account.

They only gain 7% on an item in "spent" NX for every transaction. And you could further argue that whatever NX was charged is already a sale made, and doesn't imply that loss of said NX would lead to buying of more NX.

Seriously, it's not even good business on their end to wait until this permeates into the MTS and non-hackers buy the goods, because it discourages buying NX in the long run anyway. MTS is horrible and should be gone.
