I would think so. They could be developing an upcoming game, and you could take their secrets about the underworkings of the game and run to a different gaming company after being fired.

Typically, a lot of jobs have this contract or a variation of it. I know in retail you have a sign a contract that states "if you are fired, you cannot talk about our sales tactics" and such. I had to sign it 3 years ago when I started my job.

I'll be as honest and straightforward as I can be at this point with you guys about interviewing Nexon. If you go fishing for an interview (like we did at Maple-News in 2008 with Lloyd Korn first and then NX Neutral "Daniel Chin" afterwards) you're not going to get much free reign. I had a great interview with Lloyd, if I remember, and through that was able to get approved for one with NX Neutral. I won't say much, but what I will say is the interview we sent and the one received and posted on our site were not the same thing.
I would be very interested to interview anyone who used to work at Nexon America for Maple-News and I would hope they would accept. From what I can see there's just a Linked In to get in contact with them? It would be nice to get some insight into what it's like working at Nexon/for MapleStory. But, I wouldn't expect anyone spilling the beans on anything revealing that we would all find interesting.

NDAs would be standard procedure for pretty much any Software Development job.

Typical desk job or computer job, you do your work at a laid back pace, most white collar jobs have a lot of down time, some blue collar jobs have this as well. That's why most people slack off at work because there's really nothing to do, and it all depends on their mood.

Pay the bills? Why, when you can do it for fun instead? /jokes
All in all, I don't think being the vague, monotonous dirty rag between the community and the head honchos pays that badly. Else, she would've left with her dignity a long time ago. Or it could be that the alias of 'Hime' is being secretly used by different employees coming and going through an endless revolving door.

Nope. Same person.

I consider Hime is liked more than she is hated and if she were to leave Nexon it'd be more harmful for Nexon's image than it''d be of any help. It's not like anyone that replaces her ever could do a better job, they all would be bound to work under the orders and info they are given and restrictions of the charge.

I don't see why any of the ex-employees would be interested in giving such interviews. They have virtually nothing to gain out of doing so. It's also very bad practice to discuss your previous employer (and especially to discuss the negative aspects of the job) with ANYONE. Doing so in a public forum would seem very silly from a professional perspective.

Almost everyone wants to tell their side of a story, even if it's anonymously. Many former employers would love to tell things that were common knowledge at their company and can't be traced back to them, just to have let them out and embarrass a company they feel wronged by.
That's mostly as irrelevant as your opinion though, since the actual interview questions I have are far more benign and practical. I'm not looking for dirt, because it couldn't possibly lower anyone's opinion of Nexon at this point. The people who hate them do so for their own reasons, the people who like them will do so until something happens to them personally to change their mind because if the experiences of others were enough to move that needle they'd all be in the hate camp by now.

I'm sure Nexon's middle-tier employees **COUGHwerePaidHandsomelyToCOUGH** have nothing but good things to say about Nexon.

If you really aren't looking for "dirt", then I'm not sure as to what you're hoping to get. What could they possibly tell you that you don't already know and won't be covered by NDA/considered "dirt"? If you want insight on Nexon's operations, I highly doubt ex-employees would divulge that, for the reasons listed above. What else could you possibly want to know? The working climate? That would be considered dirt. Any "common knowledge" things would really be things that -we- already know. Such as the fact that they don't ACTUALLY patrol the game as much as they claim to. Or that they filter the ticketing system and ignore the majority of tickets that they don't want to answer. So enlighten me as to anything else you wish to learn about Nexon.
And again, the only people who would actually agree to this interview would be low-level employees who don't actually understand the politics of the workplace well enough to realize it's a dumb move. I don't see Tiara doing anything like this, I'm sure she's smart enough to realize that it's better to leave the past behind (especially if she's looking for work). This is exactly why Joe never spoke up, and neither did Prose. BTW, an anonymous interview would serve little practical purpose in hiding said person's name, because we (and Nexon) all know who has recently been let go and is of a high enough position to actually have anything to say.
Trust me that I'd certainly be interested in gaining insight into Nexon's operations - but I just recognize that it's unlikely anyone will volunteer info, without some sort of payment/reward.

Why don't they know English when they are providing services for an English speaking player base?
Wait I'm not sure I wanna know.
Well, just log a few tickets and then you will know.
That explains why a lot of ticket answers either don't answer the question or address fixes that were reported as not working as part of the original problem. So the joke about how GM's (the ones who read tickets) can't read and just copy and paste is probably true. They can't read English! (Reading clearly means reading with understanding in this context.)
And that explains why all my tickets take so long to answer. As an intelligent and well educated person I don't typically limit my words to those under two syllables.
