It's leaked. I just watched it.

Why do I get the feeling that Aang, Sokka, Toph, (and Zuko?) all fell to Amon? That, or some bending revolutionist.

The flashback to the head, I believe, was either Aang's memory during his life or Amon's power seeping into Korra's imagination.

It would also make sense why Aang ordered the White Lotus to protect Korra (then again, that IS their job).

This councilman f'uck annoys me. Manipulative pimento. Not seeing very good things of this new girl mako likes either. 99% chance she betrays him or blackmails him because she has money. Though i could see korra ditching on the pro bending all together, though it'd be stupid.

And yeah THOSE FLASHBACKS. Toph looks ridiculously buff. WHAI. Sokka really looks like his dad. Aang looks the most different. Not sure i like the chinstrap. What does the flashback mean though? What significance does showing their grown up selves at such a time give?

Hate the councilman. Hate the rich peach (Y NO MAKORRA!?) but I'm pretty sure she'll be gone soon enough.

I have a feeling the flashbacks were back to what the councilman was referencing in the beginning of the episode, about an issue Republic City had years ago that Avatar Aang didn't hesitate to take action against. I'm really curious who the 4th person in the flashback is... and confused as to why Korra had those flashbacks in the first place. O_o

The 4th person is probably Amon. Maybe Amon was once a powerful bender who went crazy and Aang took away his bending too, except because of the connection, he learned of energy bending. Now he has hate against other benders because he lost what he used to have. Flashbacks were probably also a result of the connection when Aang went to take his energy bending away. Maybe there are traces of memory that you can transfer between people?

 Episode 4

The episode actually turn out alright. The romance was quite good than I expected to be. I didn't know Mako was such a smooth player. Bolin cracks me up as always. Trying to put the moves on Korra by bringing her flowers and cake (I thought Korra and Bolin were more like bros hanging out together IMO).

The ending was ok. Seeing Korra all teared up was kinda hard to watch. I was surprised Amon didn't just end her bending when he had the chance. I guess he's too confident to not fight her and just leave her there, letting her live on fear. Even when he's not around, he can be scary and haunting, and it leaves me even more curious as to what will happen on his next move.

Oh and please no more leaks this time. 2 out of 4 is a bit too much.

If she is plotting something, chances are it involves with the pro-bending tourament. But for what purpose.... oh and I like how you immediately think she's gonna be evil for no apparent reason. Maybe the writers just want to put in a love interest for Mako, and to tease the Makorra shippers.

Pretty good theory. If that's true, what makes him crazy enough to get the Avatar involved and to strip his bending powers? I would call the police and have metal benders cap his ass for good.

His motivation for not taking her bending away at that instant was because it was a direct and open challenge from the "best of the best" bender to the highest "non-bender" and by taking her bending, it would rally ALL of the benders and essentially ruin and over run the young revolution. He needs more time to carry out his plans. thus Amon's move is more strategic than anything else.

Amon might wanna keep Korra around as the Avatar to further strengthen his cause. We've already seen he can be manipulative and sneaky, who's to say he isn't going to manipulate Korra into making a big mistake? He's already got the non-benders of republic city scared of benders, what could improve his cause more than having the most powerful bender of all "turn" on her people?

Interesting episode, took some turns i wasn't expecting. That councilman is a huge plantain, but it's about time there was an antagonistic waterbender (aside from the Bloodbender in the original series). I loved all the different aspects of Korra's character we saw in this episode, she's becoming a much more well-rounded and sympathetic character now that she's shown a bit of weakness.
The car company owner was voiced by Jin from LOST. that's awesome.

Love the interactions between Korra and Bolin. Mako is just... boring.

Okay, that kinda resolves my confusion.

I was thinking that because Amon let her go, he gave her time to think about his strategy and train her hardest. Korra have the potential to master all her skills and could even enter the Avatar State one day and possibly surpass all benders combined. Of course, I have no idea how strong are the other benders up to this point. There might be master benders/prodigies just like Iroh and Azula.

 Episode 4

Loved the character building in this episode.

On Makos new girl and her dad, I feel like there is going to be a connection between her dad and what happened in the past with Aang.

I also feel the flash backs are Aang trying to reach her, or her actually becoming more spiritual, and the flashbacks are showing that of her.

I think the flashback was Aang's spirit showing how Korra they dealt with the other criminal mentioned by Turrlok ~40 years ago. It wasn't very clear though, clearly it's going to be elaborated on, and that flashback was practically a teaser for us.

As for Turrlok being an antagonist, I wouldn't really say that. He's more like a guy who's doing what the public wants to see to deal with Amon, and that's actively fighting him and his Equalists. The only part I didn't like is how Korra went from "I'm focusing on my training," to "BRING IT ON AMON! I'LL KICK YOUR ASS!" in like a day. I mean, she knows that she can barely fight his regular men, why would she think she could take on Amon, fair fight or not? It just seemed way too much of a jump even for her.

As for Asami, I feel like she has some ulterior motives, but what they are...it's hard to say for sure. It seemed that it was rather odd that she so quickly jumped into helping Mako and his team out when a day before they didn't even know each other, and all it took was him barely mentioning that they had no money to pay the entry fee.

Side note, did the name Sato sound familiar to anyone? I'm gonna look that up, I feel like that's some small link to the original series.

As for Turrlok being an antagonist, I wouldn't really say that. He's more like a guy who's doing what the public wants to see to deal with Amon, and that's actively fighting him and his Equalists. The only part I didn't like is how Korra went from "I'm focusing on my training," to "BRING IT ON AMON! I'LL KICK YOUR ASS!" in like a day. I mean, she knows that she can barely fight his regular men, why would she think she could take on Amon, fair fight or not? It just seemed way too much of a jump even for her.

Korra was always afraid. But at the same time, she's extremely prone to peer pressure, pride, and burdened by responsibility as the Avatar. As soon as the press was after her, she didn't know what else to do but what she's always done: Go head to head with her problems. After the raid on the equalists, she felt a sort of high off the confidence.

What if Amon is simply helping Korra unlock all of her chakras, so she can go Avatar State and he can kill her then, thereby stopping the Avatar's cycle of reincarnation?

While true, you would think that it would be a very closely guarded secret while the Lion-Turtle taught Aang about Energybending by just asking nicely for help.

Plus, we have no way to know that there's not just some secret organization that teaches Energybending that Amon happened by.

But then again we don't know how many people know about the Avatar State flaw either, so anything is possible.

I thought it was implied at the end of Book 2 it was somewhat common knowledge, when Azula zapped Aang the second he went into the Avatar state and they went back home bragging to've killed the Avatar, with no mention of worrying about him being reborn into the Water Tribe.

Amon cannot possibly take down the avatar state. It just isn't possible for any non-bender. Ozai couldn't do it and he was a crazy firebender to begin with, and he even had the comet to buff him even further beyond that.
