El Nathian cape is a Black/White version of the Zeta Cape/Goblin.

Cloak of Corruption is a black/white version of the Legendary Elias Capes/Ludibrium Cape.

From what I know so far about the iTCG5 stuffz, the upgraded version of the El Nathian Cape is mostly for HP/MP. It's not as good as the Stirgeman Cape, but it's really close. The upgraded version of the Cloak of Corruption is the Shroud of Zakum (lvl 120) has +3 to all base stats. Bleh.

EDIT: I have at least 3 Zruns lined up this weekend. Hopefully I'll get some results on ZDiamonds by then!

Recoloring stuff doesn't seem too weird for those of us who played console games such as Final Fantasy; every time you encountered a new and stronger monster, it would most likely be a recolored version of a lower level one. Many weapons and equipment were much the same, or they'd change the color and add a small embellishment with an increase in power.

It may seem lazy, but tradition is on their side.

I'm still kind of surprised that NEXON only started to do recolors recently. Perhaps they saw the FF and WoW examples and decided to implement them to save some money?

lol everyone recolors, not just nexon

The base versions of the hat and capes are definitely tradeable. I sold a couple of each except the Cloak of Corruption. (Also, I would have noted "Untradeable" in my table.) I decided to keep the Cloaks for myself in the hope that one day I might be able to upgrade them. Having a Shroud of Zakum just seems cool, for some reason.
