BlackCipher
#1
Is it just me or has BlackCipher been going crazy today? At my worst point today, I froze about 2 minutes after logging in and this kept happening for half an hour. I asked a guildie and she said she was also experiencing problems.

Hell, just now, my laptop flipped pomegranate in PvP and was so slow and unresponsive till I ended the BlackCipher process along with Maple...

I used to just terminate it as soon as I got to the log-in page, but Maple can still freeze up even when I do so now.

Not sure, but it loves to lag me in towns. The thing likes to run behind my back as well..
Either I was never notified Town lag still exists, or this is Cipher's doing.

It's been going crazy this past week in PvP and Towns.

BlackCipher was just re-enabled in the latest minor patch (v109.2), it hasn't even been available an entire week yet.

I thought I hadn't seen it in a while.

I dont know what was causing it, but I was lagging like pomegranate yesterday while recording things. Since then I have installed a fresh copy of 7, lets see if it was blackcipher or my shitty fucking computer.

Yesterday my maple would freeze completely for like 5 seconds or so.

I've been freezing up a lot lately and disconnecting (have to end the process otherwise MS refuses to close), figured it had something to do with BlackCipher. I just checked task manager and it's taking up 94% CPU usage...

Don't know what they did, but whenever BC crashes, Maple locks up a couple minutes later. It's pissing me off, since it always happens at the most crucial times. I crashed yesterday with 1:37 left on PvP and I was #1 :|

That explains a lot. This has happened to me twice so far.

And this also explains why my computer was lagging during those times. Frikin' lame. :|

Hmm.

Right now, it's lazying about at 2-3 but when I lag and freeze, I also get it to spike to the 90 range. Especially during those moments when I would prefer not to disconnect so suddenly...

It killed my Maple yesterday, when I intentionally left Maple running for >2hrs to get the pendant up, then...

LAG (1) XBM died by 0.5 sec freeze at Escape, and I went from 90% to 80%...
LAG (2) BC went [insert colourful words of choice], and that's my 2nd Escape run.

Absolutely pissed. Now not sure if I'll continue playing because it's also time for me to study. Exams in 1 month.

Explains my 9 times DCing today.
5 of them were during the Miwok event. 1 was during my VL solo.
1 was during training and lost my spot. 2 were randomly walking around.

Nexon just... eh.. well..
ugh why do i even bother.

That process have a serious memory leak problem, I even had a BSOD when entering the miwoks event.

Haven't really had any problems, but also haven't been on that much in the past week due to exams. Just end the process as you're starting up MS or lower its priority to reduce the lag.

Not a memory leak considering it isn't taking up much memory to begin with.
