TF2 Thread, now featuring HALLOWEEN!
So what will a strange PDA do, how many times you build something?
Reply
Or maybe they'll be making............. new PDAs/Sappers. Le gasp!

Steveio Wrote:According to some FacePunch users who looked into the game files, what Strange Parts do is that they add an extra stat to track on a Strange weapon.

Including:
- [Class] Killed
- Headshots
- Buildings Destroyed
- Projectiles Deflected
- Kills on Airborne Enemies
- Gibbings

That seems like fun. Though my incredible collection of 2 strange weapons isn't that impressive (Scattergun and Medigun).

Times sentry gun gets a kill, I guess.

Nope. Strange Engineer Melees already track that (except the Southern Hospitality for some reason).

I second the idea that it'll track buildings constructed.

And on a somewhat-related note, they added separate Rank Up lists for the Strange versions of the Electro-Sapper, Mantreads, and Holiday Punch.

I'd personally like a "taunt-kill" count for my strange fists as I manage those fairly frequently. All the rest I can't really be bothered with because I can't take TF2 seriously. Enjoy it entirely, but it just isn't a serious thing for me. As for those random items I got a while back, I did what I thought was morally correct and deleted them. Granted Valve didn't give a damn after I reported it.

On another note, gambling sucks, don't do it. Sold almost all of my vintage/valuable crap for something around 30 ref and tried keys out with about 2/3s of it. Ziltch. And now those Vintage weapons I didn't have duplicates of are taking forever to redrop for me leaving me without most of my loadouts.

If anyone is free today, I'd love for us to bomb a pub server. Also, post more in the SP Steam group.

I see they have made #40 a Salvaged crate. Good luck getting a strange sapper and huntsman now.

Also finally got the Pyromance achievement, 1 million points of fire damage oh yeah.

I have no idea which crates are actually worth something, I've pretty much kept every single one I've gotten since I started playing the game (a little bit after it became F2P).

Does anyone else here take screenshots of their killers just because they have a funny face when they killed you?

I sure do. Stuff like this makes the game hilarious to play even when losing.

Also, my face when I didn't know a friend of mines hopped on the server and I killed him without a second thought. Had to look to my right to notice. Of course, I wasn't able to waste time chatting when I was spraying boolets everywhere. Hint: it's not Mr. Bean.

As silly/bad as it seems, this is probably my best performance as a Hoovy. Survived from the start of the gate up until the very last checkpoint? Pretty legendary for me, seeing I was the only Hoovy on team, and was extremely paranoid during the whole game a SPAH would backstab me, or a Sniper would headshot me. Neither happened. Least despite my death my team easily carried the cart to the end just as I was returning.

Hooray, MVP! And so many points for a rush. The other team was just getting demolished thanks to my help. I also spy my Spray.

Hay Pedro, remember this?

Another free hat for those that can be bothered to get to level 6 in Crime Craft.

Bolt Action Blitzer

Maybe itÂ’s an alight game I dunno. No idea how long it takes to get to level 6 either.

Not entirely sure how a football helmet covered in bolts is related to the mafia, but okay.

Other changes from yesterday's patch:
- Teufort Tooth Kickers can be equipped by the Engineer now
- Added the Texas Half-Pants for the Engineer
- The Short Circuit is no longer blocked by buildings or other projectiles, and destroying Sticky Bombs with it now counts towards the "How the Pests Was Gunned" achievement
- The Cozy Camper now correctly affects using the Huntsman and the description was updated to reflect the actual speed reduction (-60% --> -90%)
- You can now remove Strange Parts and/or reset a Strange weapon's kill count by using the Restore button in the backpack
- Mann Co. Supply Crates now display their series number in backpack view
- Medics healing players whose overheal health was greater than their "normal" overheal max no longer removes the "excess" health (essentially, it fixes a bug with the Conniver's Kunai)
- Added an option to remove the crosshair when scoped as a Sniper
- The Scrap Pack is now craftable, tradable and giftable

And some from the Beta patch also from yesterday:
- Added no crit penalty to the Enforcer
- Playtime in Beta now counts towards item drops in the full game

This... gives me a reason to try the beta now.

Yesterday's patch allows the Scout, Pyro, Heavy, Medic and Sniper equip the Frying Pan in addition to the Soldier and Demoman.

Of course, they all look like they're barely holding it correctly, but the GONG sounds just about makes up for it.

HO HO HO HO! Scoots with Frying Pan?! They're now one step closer to making those pancakes they've been talking about, not to mention hearing CLANGCLANGCLANGCLANGCLANGCLANGCLANGCLANGCLANGCLANGCLANGCLANGCLANGCLANGCLANGCLANG.

IT BEGINS!

It's a shame I don't see any of those classes aside from the scout leaving their usual melee weapons and even for him there's still much use for the Sandman if you know how to aim it.

About a year since the Uber Update, and I just now discovered that the Free-to-Play video contains weapons that weren't released in the Uber Update.

As seen here

I'm personally hoping that the Second Annual Saxxy Awards/Meet the Pyro update(s) have these. Especially if the Headtrimmer (Pyro Scythe) makes it in, because the Gardening Pyro Pack was my favorite Polycount Pack back during the contest (but especially the Griefblower).
