You can't say "sex" in Combat Arms, a Teen Rated FPS, but you can say it in Maple, an E(10?) game for 10 year olds.

Don't they encourage swearing when your in the army or w/e?

Well, I remember hearing quite a number of words bleeped out in Combat Arms, so I guess not. Tongue

Yes it's ironic isn't it? Giving us a huge whopping machine gun along with pirates after they censored showa... I guess Cyanne is right, Nexon doesn't want guns towards 'human' mobs...
I suppose Nexon allows 'animal cruelty' over using guns on humans...

I couldn't agree more. I've looked through the CS several times in the past for something other than that horrible toy gun crossbow that's in there... Not that it matters now that I hardly play anymore.

You can't say NIP when it's part of the word SNIPER. >__>

EDIT : You know, that gun looks out of place. It doesn't even look like the character's holding it. x_x

^You don't have to know how to hold it properly when it's that ridiculous.

At least it'll look slightly less ridiculous if it's held right.

There's an option on Combat Arms to turn off the swear filter, but it's not activated yet for some reason. (knowing nexon it'll be something you have to buy with NX)

I love how people don't understand exactly why Showa Town was censored and why Pirates run around with guns.

The monsters in Showa Town are a reflection of the Yakanza, a Japanese Mafia. Now, a mafia is a group that goes into organized crime. The reasons why they took it the guns away from the Showa Monsters is because they do look like a gang, and in ratings, a gang-like NPC and such is a higher rating in maturity then a fantasy pirate running around.

It's obvious they took out the guns out of Showa Town because it's Gang Activity looking, which would shot up the game rating ASAP. I do believe that in America, we have a huge gang problem in certain areas. On top of that, the culture is different from Japan and America. In America, this type of violence link would be unacceptable in such an E rated game. Another example, nudity is more acceptable in Japan, then in America, same with cussing, and such. An old-fashion pirate, which are completely wiped off the face of the earth now, that is fantasy like, isn't as bad as gang violence.
