Bumi's not. Besides, he probably grew up with Sokka as an idol, as a fellow non-bender surrounded by really powerful benders.

Most of us have already seen the first two episodes, or live in Canada =/

Just saw the first two episodes, it's funny to see more teen angst in the Avatar world. It's refreshing to revisit this world.
On the other hand, MLP spoiled me for voice acting. These guys speak like they are all in a funeral, they are just so plain and boring when talking.

Dammit, shouldn't have read this thread. Now I have been spoiler'd and am very excited.

Probably because it's significantly more serious, and aimed at an older demographic? At that point, hugely fluctuating intonation just sounds silly.

Mako can lightning bend =O

 Episode 3

I agree on Amon about one thing, bending does cause wars.

I'm very impressed in this episode. There is a lot of Mako/Korra in this one; I'm slightly believing Korra may actually have a crush on him, but from what I've seen, they're like two dudes working together to save Bolin. Seeing Mako being a detective, deducing plans to rescue & escape were interesting to watch. Bolin carried by Naga's mouth while running away was pretty funny.

I like the fact that they are many lightning benders and chi blockers now. The very rare things we've seen in A:TLA are becoming more common. Now about Amon's way to remove bending was kind of a surprise to me. Even Tenzin was surprised as well. The suspense behind Amon's real identity and how he can do that makes me become interested to this villain.

So Amon IS energy bending! That was a really good episode, a bit fast paced but it's setting the stage for some major conflict. I really enjoyed Bolin's silliness contrasted with Mako's serious detective mode, as well as seeing how common lightning bending is. Maybe that's a major factor in the technological progress of Republic City.

What an AWESOME episode. Amon can energybend (I wonder how). At first, I really thought that Bolin would have his Earth bending taken away.

With Tenzin surprised, I wonder if there's any kind of plan to stop this. IF he can.

If I didn't love this series already, this would be the episode I would have fallen in love.

Better than Episode 2.

Only slightly? Mako and Korra looking across the lake at each others' islands at the end of Episode 2 was a fairly good "hint". But Tenzin's kids saying that Mako "drives her crazy" and her reaction to that, the scene of them sleeping in the park, and when they posed as a couple when they arrived to the Equalist Revelation- that's just really, really blatant romantic tension and hints that they probably like each other.

For all we know he might have used chi blocking to stop bending. There wasn't any glowing spirit light coming out of his or that victim's body.

Doesn't seem like the episode is available anywhere on the internet for now...
