Don't you lose the look-like item in the anvil process?
So I can't rent your Mark of the Beta to make my czak take on its look, I wouldn't be able to return it.

Wouldn't matter. If you did lose the look-like item, the total number of Marks of Beta and their look-alikes would remain the same (barring dupes, natch).

However, since it seems you don't lose the item... the rare will soon become commonplace.

I guess, I mean, the look of rare items would be everywhere, but the item still retains its name, and even has a green line on the bottom that says an anvil was used to make it look like whatever item. But I would still put a greater value in the actual items than items that look the same.

Man, what I would have given for this feature, back before I got my perma nx outfit. In my opinion, female warrior clothes get uglier and uglier at higher levels. Would have loved to disguise them as something cuter from a lower level.


And another question: can you anvil medals? Would be cool to wear the Time Traveler for its stats but have the image (and text) of, say, Quest Specialist.

I have no idea for sure, but I think the best you can do is use an anvil to change it back using another of the same item, or another item you anviled to look like the original item.

Those aren't cooldowns to the actual skills.

I really like this anvil thing.
First new cash shop feature in a long time that is purely cosmetic.
I hope it becomes a great hit, so Nexon realize they don't have to keep coming up with new ways to make godlier equips to make money.
Also, inb4 Nexon America makes the transformation reverse itself in 90 days, so you have to keep refreshing your gear's looks.

From what I understand, if you want to make your zhelm look like a canopus hat, you have to get a canopus hat or some other hat that had already been anviled to look like a canopus hat.
Once you apply the anvil to your zhelm, you can give back the canopus (or lookalike) hat, and retain the zhelm-that-looks-like-canopus.
