Why cant the japanese put shows like these in breaks? Like someone said in another forums, there are tons of great series which could use a second season.

Anyway, the only thing I've got to say about this chapter is, the way Orochimaru showed up was really gey.

Boring and useless chapter in my opinion.

The story is more likely not over yet, but I still wouldn't hope much for it anyway.

I disagree with people who say these flashbacks are useless. It's nice knowing the story of kabuto and all, since we get to see that he's not just evil to be evil.

Both are useless because:

Orochimaru is dead and doesn't need any more development.
Kabuto will most likely soon die and doesn't need any more development.

It's the same when they showed flashbacks for Kisame. Most useless flashbacks ever. Not only did they fail to make Kisame more likeable, nothing really substantial came out of it.

I was agreeing with you until you mentioned Kisame. This manga likes to wait for people to die/almost die before they break out the flash backs and I actually enjoyed seeing parts of Kisame's past because he was so awesome. Kabuto on the other hand, became badass so quickly and out of the blue. I could care less about his backstory until he starts doing crazy things with Orochimaru. I'm kind of hoping they show some of the experiments the two of them did- pomegranate must've been absurd.

The problem with Kabuto is that most of his power comes from stealing and decieving people, instead of selfmerit so it is hard to admire him. I got what you said as trying to say he had not done any crazy things up until now. My bad.

As for sympathy and admiration well, I remembered what you or someone else said about the purpose of these flashbacks bring to build sympathy for the character (in this case trying to make him look like a victim) so I tried to say it is hard due to him being lame and a douche until just now.

Anyway, it seems rather early to kill Kabuto considering how strong and important to the plot he became. Let's see what happens.

Is it me or Orchimaru and kabuto relationships comes off a little bit more than just friends? *hint hint*

Yea wierd that they released it today, I thought it was golden week or something? O_o

This chapter wasn't so bad. Seeing Orochimaru's hideout and plans were kind of cool backstory.
