Boss Battles Thread

The fight is fun, but goddamn those Eagle Statues.
I had to basically solo them, because Tony would either trigger DR and kill me, or trigger Seduce and get nothing accomplished. The only time he would ever do damage to them was if I had Bind up lol.

Does lash reach eagle statues or did you have to save your infinite DF and spam impact?

Lash can reach the eagle statues without triggering them, but it's pretty much "Pixel Perfect". If I move too far back, then only the "Final attack" hits and if I move too close, I trigger their Damage Reflect / Seduce.

I wonder how effective max vampire would be for that, and how wheel consuming PBs DR would be for me as a blade master.

Depends on how cautious you are at PB. I only died once to PB's DR, because I would only attack when he did something else other than cast DR. I can't survive a single hit from DR.

I only use Assaulter so the mobs dont die and just max the spawn of the goblins which dont make VL heal, damage reflect is easily timed so i dont die either. Takes me about 10 minutes to max the spawn usually unless VL decides to keep healing -.-

If you try and keep VL in a corner (I usually go to the left and stay near the portal) and the rhinos all stay around you, providing you can hit VL with assaulter/assassinate you can avoid crashing. I think it crashes if the rhinos are too spread out over the map, it seems to have worked for me at least.

Yea i crashed at VL so many times because i moved around the map, sit him in the left corner and make sure the mobs don't go wondering around
Soloing HT, The other guy came in to get his spot and just decided to sit afk on the rope with auto pot lol

First time not using wheels at PB.
Run originally had 4 people. 2 died near the beginning from DR and had no wheels. Hero (in screenshot) was mainly a crash mule since he had no All Cures left so I mostly solod about 75% of the Bean itself.
Forgot to screenshot right when it died, but this is literally seconds after killing it and looting, so it will suffice.

Bodyguards and Grandpa took about an hour total. I cubed 30% boss between grandpa and Zak. My range sucks.

EDIT : Just noticed, I didn't use a single HP pot in the two+ levels between Grandpa and Zak. lol paladins

Another PB Duo, this one was a bit sloppier, but still successful.

Mean SoB spamming his vast array of disabling skills, and when all else fails - that "yeah whatever I'm just going to hit everything with 999,999 damage" attack. And the fewer people in the party, the more often you get hit. I tried to solo and could barely get a hit in before getting inescapably killed every time.
I'll be very glad when I'm done with it.

mind doing me a favor? count how many times he does that OHKO attack, it seems to only do it 4 times, once per Orb in the background.

Not that it's his only attack that can 1hko a Cygnus... damage reflect will easily do it too (45k reflected? nice) in the few seconds between him casting it and it being at all visible.

Staying in the corner seems to prevent disconnecting, haven't been dced once while doing it this way yet.

Clearly the best part of any Empress run.



It wasn't a solo or anything, but she summoned V2 early, and everyone died after or dced before, at 70% HP.

Guess my Aran's SOL, since it has no single target attacks to avoid killing prison boars...

That or it'll just kill the mini golems anyway. I dunno.

Maybe I'll give it a try, once I'm done LHC's new quests.

The only other thing I'd suggest would be to jump attack if you have max jump, you'd reach over the top of the boars but as an Aran that probably wouldn't work very well. Demon Slayers have it hard too. Good luck if you do try it!
