It was a great first episode for the new season. I can't believe the chainsaw broke. DAMN YOU AIKAWA!

Medaka Box 01:
I was strangely disappointed. It felt somewhat slow, but had its funny moments.

Acchi Kocchi 01:
This was unbelievably cute. I enjoyed it. AIR HOCKEY FOR THE WIN!

It's a bit hard for me to get interested in a guy who likes zombie girls. However, the series looks interesting still.

Those are the only series I'll probably pick up this season. However, a few others did catch my eye.

Somewhere between the 5th and the 30th sexual "pull my trigger" pun, I was no longer OK with it. There's a fine line for amount of fanservice in a show, and it crossed it around minute 10...

Zac Bertschy's (ANN) take on Upotte!! is damn funny. I sure as pomegranate won't be watching this show.

Let… let me see if.. let me see if I can explain this…

Seishou Academy is host to a bunch of moe girls who are also assault rifles, which is not a metaphor.

The lead character is FNC, an anthropomorphized Belgian rifle with a skeleton butt (which is a particular kind of gun butt, not that her butt is a skeleton… forget it), which is why she wears a thong..? She nearly has an orgasm one day at the local fair when a human boy shows up and demonstrates perfect rifle-handling form at the shooting gallery booth. She keeps imagining his big rifle-fondling hands on her, and can't help herself. This is how the show begins.

So all the girls in the school are also guns, and all of their sex organs correlate to a part on a rifle – their chest is the hand guard, their vaginas are apparently the muzzle and the butt is also the butt. One girl gets sick with stomach pains and goes in to first aid, where the nurse tells her her spring is out of whack while pressing on her belly, which makes a bunch of mechanical gun noises. So their insides are all gun parts, I guess, but they have squishy moe anime girl exteriors. It isn't like other things where the anthropomorphized OS or gaming console girls are just extensions of the product's identity, these girls are supposed to literally be assault rifles in moe girl form.




Later we learn all the different types of gun-girl-crazy goddamn mutant hybrid monsters what the hell is going on in this show that there are, each one with a different moe personality. Eventually FNC meets up with the human teacher and he puts his hands on her head, which nearly gives her an… orgasm? Uncontrolled fire? I DON'T KNOW. Then she shoots him, for the second time in the episode. The end!

So here's what I'm going to give Upotte!! the credit it truly deserves: this is some of the absolute craziest, dumbest, weirdly creepiest pomegranate I have ever seen in my life. Whoever is responsible for this show was out of their goddamn mind and it feels like someone said “hey, anyone wanna trigger another one of those “wacky crazy Japan!” American news articles? Let's freak everyone out!” It is bananas.

Watch Upotte!! if you are one of the following:

A person who honestly just wants to see how completely bonkers they're apparently willing to get these days in the anime industry
A dude who has such a strong gun fetish that you want to f*ck your guns but until now haven't really had a proper way to fantasize about doing that

But one thing is absolutely for certain: there are two eras in anime history. A time before Upotte!! existed, and now, which is where we're at.

Fate/Zero 14: DAT SOUNDTRACK. Can't wait to see Tokiomi get destroyed. Though I hope it's not by Kiriya.

I didn't really think Upotte had as much fanservice as the people here were complaining about. I went in expecing DxD, but it's more weird/silly than anything. Will continue.

This, so much. I am almost never a fan of tsunderes, but after watching Acchi Kocchi 01, I just can't help but love Tsukumi.

Accel World 01 - The main character certainly takes getting used to, but I've already read into the manga and light novels and enjoyed them quite a bit. Just hope it continues to be adapted well.

Sankarea 01 - Another series I've already read into the source material, but again love the manga. I'm hoping they're able to continue sticking with 1 chapter per episode to keep the filler material minimal, otherwise the anime is going to be rather meh.

Hime is Tsukasa, same VA and everything... She just needs to talk about food now.

And balsamic vinegar x3.

Saki: Achiga-hen Ep 1 - Starting off slow, as expected. By the way, for those who've watched the main series, don't expect anything too flashy here, because none of the main characters have any special powers that actually help them all that much. The closest we get to that is Kuro, who has good luck as long as she does not discard any dora...and she only draws dora as long as there are still dora outside of her hand (she gets extremely bad luck for the next few games if she discards any dora). Oh yeah, and her sister keeps all tiles with red ink on them...but that's really just a quirk. What you can expect is tonnes of cameos, and we'll finally get to see Miyanaga Teru play in a match (against our poor little main characters).

Sankarea 01: I was a bit apprehensive about watching this since I don't like the manga all that much, but it was okay I guess.

Sengoku Collection 01: This will be boring if the male isn't there for Nobunaga-chan to tsundere at. Though next episode with Tokugawa Ieyasu/Hanazawa Kana looks promising.

Accel World 01: This is probably the highest quality anime I have ever watched.

Upotte!! 01: This is probably the lowest quality anime I have ever watched.

Nazo no Kanojo X 01: This disturbs me for some reason. Not sure if I can keep watching.

Tasogare Otome x Amnesia 01: Artwork is fantastic. Interesting how they did the perspective. It's been ages since I read the first chapter so I can't recall if this is what they did.

Haiyoru! Nyaruko-san - 01 The whole ep is full of awesome/funny moments, nyaruko's voice match her character really well. Btw, are those random words that nyaruko yelled whenever mahiro hit her supposed to be some kind of Cthulhu reference?

Rock Lee - 02 Neji is pretty good at crossdressing :f6:

Mirai Nikki episode 25: Wow, i think they wasted the entire budget on this episode alone. So much awesome fighting, especially between Ninth and Murmur, though First and Second was surprisingly awesome, why couldn't First fight like this earlier in the series? i didn't even know he COULD fight like that. Unsealed Murmur was so awesome.

the after credits scene was just lolworthy, "Yuno... did your breasts just shrink?" Murmur's face totally made it.

Kore wa Zombie desu ka? Season 2 - 02 I can't believe Ayumu became a celebrity for being a crossdressing flasher with chainsaw. I rofl when Sarasvati posted pictures of ayumu's ass all over the Internet. That Eu party after the credits is pure awesome.
