I thought it was more just because he got it back before so stealing it should be impossible. That explanation obviously works way better though. Maybe the hollow mask has to do with it too.

Well i mean what else would you think? Ichigo pre-xcution arc wasn't any different from shinigamis aside from his hollow so there isn't any reason the bankai snatch wouldn't have worked unless there was some other power interfering with it. The hollow shouldn't make a difference since the enemies they're dealing with come from what we assume to be the sacred realm, whereas fullbringers are from the human world which they would have no understanding of.

That and thinking the xcution arc was COMPLETELY pointless aside from just getting his power back would be even more pathetic of kubo, lol.

Well after spending 15 minutes sorting through bullpomegranate where some websites would tell me that chapter 487 was a special hellbound arc and others just wouldn't load, finally found the chapter.

Happy that Urahara was in this one again and that he came with Ichigo and pals to Hueco Mundo. Best part of the chapter imo was just having him there- dude is so badass.

Damm these translations. What Sasakibe said in the chapter it happened was "they can use Bankai", now they say here what he said was "they can block Bankai" or something. That changes things as they could still be pure quincys, overpowered but just regular quncys.

Soul Society is asuming they are because Hollows are vanishing from Hueco Mundo without leaving a trace, but they don't know the Vanderreich is recruiting hollows and taking them to their own dimension which they don't know its location yet. So the only clue to point them as quincys is Ivan's cross so far and then again they could have killed/stolen those from real quincys.

When has the scientist ever been wrong about his "assessments"? Making the quincy's a villain has been overdue imo, but it just feels rushed.

As if we totally didn't see this coming like immediately.
